Unidad didáctica. Metodología de trabajo por proyectos. Tema del proyecto: Pueblos del mundo- Hawaii. Dirigida a una clase de segundo de infantil (4 años).
During a psychology class we were asked to present a project on a culture of our choice. My choice of Hawaii was mostly because of the seperated culture between the U.S. and the last state of Hawaii.
Hawaii is the only island state in the United State. With its sun-drenched topical climate, long stretches of white sand, crystal blue waters, swaying palms, it a a dream location for tourists and agricultural produces. With a long history of immigration , Hawaii encompasses a myriad of ethnic groups, drawing with its culture from all parts of the world. Geographically Hawaii is the most isolated land masses and the longest island chain on earth. Its islands ere all formed by volcanic eruptions deep beneath the sea. The islands are the summits of submerged volcanoes. Its isolation also give the evolutionary biologists very special location to study the pocket of new species on the islands isolated from their relatives on the mainland.

called "The Big Island" to avoid
confusion with the state as a whole.
The islands of Hawaii were formed
a few thousand years ago by undersea
volcanoes.
