This video is an artwork by Swiss artist Christoph Büchel titled "Simply Botiful" from 2006. It shows footage of robotic machines assembling various objects in an automated factory setting. In under 3 minutes, the viewer sees a sped-up look at the mechanized process of manufacturing through the use of industrial robots.
This document discusses Francesca Woodman's Untitled photograph from 1976 and explores psychoanalytic concepts of the uncanny and abjection. It references Freud's analysis of the unheimlich as that which is familiar but estranged. Several sources are cited that discuss Woodman's self-imagery and use of her body in photographs to transform notions of femininity, as well as psychoanalytic concepts relating to the formation of identity and the feminine.

הגדרתunheimlich translated into English as uncanny, see Freud, Das Unheimliche (1919), paraphrased by Anthony Vidler in The Architectural Uncanny, stressing
the etymology of Heim / home.
Thus, in the very word heimlich ,
the familiar and intimate are reversed into their opposites. . לפיכך, היימליך את המילה מאוד, המוכר אינטימי הפוכים לתוך הפכים שלהםThe immanence of the strange
within the familiar is considered as an etymological proof of the psychoanalytic hypothesis according to which "the uncanny is that class of the frightening, which
leads back to what is known of old and long familiar." )183' אחרים הוא שלי (לבד ונכון) מודע . (זרים לעצמנו, עמVidler מתאר את הרחם הבית, מה צארה שנקרא "תוך
.רחמית" אדריכלות, כמרכז מאוד מסתוריAs Freud noted, "It often happens that neurotic men declare that they feel there is something uncanny about the female
genital organs. This unheimlich place, however, is the entrance to the former Heim of all human beings, to the place where each of us lived once upon a time and
in the beginning." פרויד ציין, " לא פעם קורה שגברים נוירוטיים מצהירים כי הם מרגישים שיש משהו מוזר על אברי המין הנשי. המקום הזהunheimlich , לעומת זאת, הכניסה
." (היים לשעבר של כל בני האדם, אל המקום שבו כל אחד מאיתנו חי פעם ובתחילתp.245) (cf. Kiesler and the nanny)
Vidler describes the womb-house, what Tzara called "intra-uterine" architecture, as the very center of the uncanny. Freud wanted to demonstrate at the outset, on
the basis of a semantic study of the German adjective Heimlich and its antonym unheimlich that a negative meaning close to that of the antonym is already tied to
the positive term heimlich , "friendlily comfortable," which would also signify "concealed, kept from sight," "deceitful and malicious," "behind someone's back
For Freud, the uncanny ( Unheimliche ) is thus the estranged familiar ( Heimlich ) "For this uncanny is in reality nothing new or alien, but something which is
familiar and old-- established in the mind and which has become alienated from it only through the process of repression” )
6. אפשר לומר כי קטע ההיעלמות המתמשכת של וודמן בדיוקן העצמי שלה בישרה את התאבדותה .
אולי מותה היה חקירה נוספת של עצמה ,
לקראת התמוססותה לתוך החלל האימהי. למרות שהיא משאירה מאחור את החידה של מותה, נותר לנו גוף העבודות החזק של
הדיוקנים העצמיים שלה.
למרות שאנו חושבים על המצלמה כמכונה חזותית בלבד, היא גם סממן של תקופה, חושפת את המעברים בין התקופות;
