• The visual image is one of the most used images by poets, and it is the mainstay of every
artwork. And imagination is the basis of every image. With it the barrier, that seems to be
stubborn to reason and matter, is broken so, it makes the outer one internal and makes the
inner outer.Tt turns nature into thought and refers the idea to nature, in addition it is the
insight that brought us to the truth, because of its ability to close the remote and link the
ties of kinship between opposites and dissonances. besides forming mental images of
things that are absent from the grasp of the sense, as the visual image is at the basis of its
formation an ambiguous sentimental feeling that is dealt with by the imagination, and its
importance in poetry is due to the importance of the sense of sight itself, where the artist
uses it in receiving and reciting, And no one doubts that the poet will not dispense with
this kind of depiction, even among the blind. Who uses ,to create visual images, the
expressions of seeing, watching and inspecting, notes and others, and despite his
blindness, Abu Al-Alaa Al-Maari was able to present visual images full of semantics and
gesticulations; As he made it a field for challenge, proving its poeticism, and creating
unfamiliar images with great accuracy. It arises from a broad imagination and a wonderful
insight; Depending on the correspondence of his senses, by combining the inherited
cognitive systems with the subjective cognitive systems.
