2. PROBLEM
STATEMENT
▪ Gauge and analyse the mental
health of India during COVID 19
using Twitter data
▪ Classify the tweets as per
emotions into “Fear”, “Joy”,
“Sadness” and “Surprise”

3. APPROACH
▪ Pre-processing: Removing duplicates, Sentence Encoding
▪ Classification: Pretrained model ‘classifierdl_use_emotion’
from python library ‘sparknlp’
▪ The class ‘fear’ of this model was not quite reliable.
▪ Used a vocabulary of words for ‘joy’ or ‘sadness’ to
reclassify the tweets previously classified into ‘fear’.
