7. Business process automation (BPA) is the use of
technology to automate repeatable, day-to-day tasks. It
accelerates how work gets done by routing information
to the right person at the right time through user-defined
rules and actions. BPA helps organizations streamline
processes such as employee onboarding, accounts
payable, contract management and more.
8. HR Onboarding
Example: Texas A&M
Universityâs College of
Engineering
Process challenge: The college
committed to an initiative that
would increase enrollment by
more than 65 percent by 2025.
This meant the college needed
to hire new employees to
manage the influx of students
while keeping costs down. The
legacy HR onboarding process,
however, was paper-driven and
time-intensive. If the college
was going to meet its goal, it
needed to eliminate
inefficiencies and streamline
employee onboarding.

10. Future of
Application
development is
âlow codeâ
⢠Low-code automation tools are
software programs that require very
little (or no) coding knowledge, with
the ability to create
enterprise-grade, high-fidelity
applications.
⢠Low-code tools, slated to become a
~$20B industry on its own by
2021 according to Forrester, solve
the problem for enterprises by
bringing far more people (and more
types of people) into the driversâ
seat.
13. What is RPA ?
Robotic Process Automation is the
technology that allows anyone to configure
computer program, or a ârobotâ to emulate
human actions of interacting within
business applications to execute a
business process.
RPA robots utilize the user interface to
capture data and manipulate applications
just like humans do.
They interpret, trigger responses and
communicate with other systems.
14. Why RPA is an important software category today ?
RPA is fastest Growing Enterprise Software
(growth @ rate of 70% year on year)

16. Understanding the different types of Robots
⢠Unattended RPA bot: A software robot that executes automated business processes and workflows
on a virtual desktop without any need for human intervention or guidance. Most commonly used in
high volume, rule-based processes. In this course we are mostly focusing on these.
⢠Attended RPA bot: A software robot that executes - or assists in executing - business processes and
workflows on a desktop that is being used by a human user. Most commonly used in small tasks to
make the daily routines of a single user easier.
⢠Human-in-the-loop automation: A software robot executing a business process on a virtual desktop
as autonomously as possible, but is partially dependent on human input. Most commonly used in
processes that have high volumes and are mostly rule-based, but require some human analysis at
points.
⢠Intelligent bots: Software robots based on RPA, but with additional capabilities like machine learning
or natural language processing. Most commonly used in processes where a regular RPA bot would
require human assistance to structure data so it can be used by the robot, or interpret characters and
text from scanned documents (typically invoices).
29. 1. Object Creation to talk with
Applications via Actions
How Does Visual Flow - Object Centric Approach works ?
2.Process Creation from choosing objects
from reusable object library
3.Control room orchestrates process execution
32. Commercial In Confidence
4 Important factors for RPA Robots
Scalability
Fully centralized command & control,
centrally updated re-usable objects, drag &
drop design, expression builder with built-in
debug, automatic process design error check,
dynamic queue management, multiple
process by single robot
Security
Bank-grade credential management,
integration with AD/LDAP, encryption of data
in transit/at rest, business-level segregation
of object and process permissions,
decoupled build & run via granular
roles-based access control, integrated
password vault, disk level encryption, data
masking, and integrated release
management
Compliance
Cradle-to-grave object & process change
history, visual side-by-side process history
comparison, entity-level session logging,
system audits, process execution audits,
password protected exception screen
capture, and no shared desktops
Resilience
Intelligent tracking of underlying application
logic, real-time logging to a central database
for rollback or hot-failover, no license fee for
DR, support for hybrid-cloud infrastructure,
no-code exception handling, and build &
debug in one studio
