The inception of LL.B program at the Faculty Of Law-University Of Delhi , a practical
experience component i.e. internship has been part of the compulsory subject and thus of the
LL.B degree. The Legal Internship Program is not designed to teach students how to be good
lawyers (or how to be lawyers at all) it takes more than study at University to do that.
The classroom study and practical training in the field of law is considered as two sides of
coin. The legal profession is one of the professions which are considered incomplete without
the practical training. An additional benefit of the internship program is that ot provides you
with an opportunity to observe the way in which law operates in a practical milieu, and so
may assist you in making future career choices.

India's First Report on Legality of Fantasy Sports IFSG_Official
Indian Federation of Sports Gaming (IFSG) is India’s first industry body formed for protecting consumer interests through the self-regulation of the sports gaming industry.
An initiative of the Sports Law and Policy Centre (SLPC), the report titled "The Laws Relating to Fantasy Sports Games in India" brings contributions from experts in sports and gaming laws from India’s leading law firms like Nishith Desai Associates, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Khaitan & Co. and LawNK. This report delves into the skill element of fantasy sports games, need for self-regulation by online sports gaming companies, the use of third-party intellectual property in fantasy sports games and the recent developments in the Supreme Court of India relating to the determination of Dream11’s fantasy sports format as a game of predominant skill.
The Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports plays a major role in promoting sports in India. The Sports Authority of India (SAI) that works under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports is responsible for the promotion of Sports and Games in the country. Authority formulates and implements a series of reforms and schemes to boost Sports development. The Government considers that people should involve sports and fitness-related activities in their daily routine for a better and healthier life. Even PM Narendra Modi has on numerous occasions urged people to give priority to sports and games in their everyday life.
Sports play an important role in everyone’s life, be it athletes, sportspersons, students, youth or adults. It is essential for physical as well as mental development. Considering the importance of sports, the Government has launched several schemes and initiatives in the field of sports and games.
The history of sports probably extends as far back as the existence of people as active beings. The history of sports informs a great deal about social changes and about the nature of sport itself.
In the current era, as technology changes at an exponential rate, the social impacts are varied and deep rooted. This implies a great deal of change in sports too.
As we move into the era of robotics, machines, transhumans, cyborgs, prosthetics and exoskeletons, the future of sports seems even more disrupted. And it raises questions at different levels.
On the ground level, how will sports and sports-viewing experiences evolve? On the next level, how will the sportsperson of the future look like? And on a much higher level, we raise questions on ethics in sports, sportsmanship, and team spirit.
