Technology consuming our lives, making us so attached to it that a moment without it feels
like we are dying. We use technology to cure our epidemic of boredom with mindless activities
like watching videos or scrolling through social media. We are never really alone with our own
thoughts; we always have hundreds of people we can access at the press of a button. When my
computer died a few years back, I had nothing else to access my favorite websites, so I simply
borrowed my parent s until I bought a new one. Boredom, or solitude, felt so unusual for me; I had
