• Many stories have twist with a happy, amusing, or
heartwarming ending. (Lighthearted twist)
Humorous Twist
• Often reveal something about the darker side of
human nature. In other word ironic twist is tragic.
Ironic Twist
• A narrator who has incorrect information built
around their own perception of events that they
pass along can build an unpredictable ending.

Teaching Suggestion
Teacher should pay more attention to make their
students mastering the twist in the story and ensure
them to understand how to create a twist.
English teachers should encourage their
students to practice writing to develop their
writing skills especially for writing a spoof.
The teachers should also pay attention to ensure their
students understand how to use action verbs,
connectives, and the use of the simple past tense.
