Staging systems to feel round the corners of Transition DesignJabe Bloom
The challenges our societies face, such as climate change, require radical innovation (Proactionary Principle [Fuller]). But the complexity of our societies also demand that we be more attentive to the consequences of those innovations (Precautionary Principle). The challenges we face are, after all, the result of previously unanticipated consequences. It is by definition not possible to anticipate ‘black swans,’ but we should perhaps expect more than to cultivate an anti-fragility that merely awaits shocks [Talib]. How then to develop rich senses of the consequences of innovations designed to respond to phenomena like climate change?
We call this capacity ‘seeing around corners,’ since the aim is not merely to build a system model that can predict an end state, but instead to sense what is possible and likely once at the position of that end-state. An analogy would be the ability to forsee texting-while-driving whilst designing the user experience of a cell phone.
Theoretically, the point would be that designers have privileged access to niche temporarily materialized potential futures, as such they need to be equipped to not only make effective decisions about quality of life, but also be aware of the moral and ethical consequences of instantiating these futures in the wider world.
As an aside, we are interested in ‘feeling around corners’ in reaction to an increasing tendency in commercial systems design to give up on larger-scale forethought and instead trust in Lean Emergence. We wish to preserve the Situatedness that comes from these ways of working (that is a corrective to temptations to ‘See like a State’ Planning), but nevertheless see the need for more forceful directedness, especially when negotiating societal challenges requiring strong, voluntary actions.
Myths, non-truths and little (or not so little) lies that we consciously or unconsciously tell ourselves and others, based on hidden traits.
We all have these hidden traits - the question is, which ones do you have, and how are they affecting your behaviours and performance in business and your private life?
In this video for those with 'Earth' or 'Late Summer' energy, we explain how you might be knowingly or unknowingly telling yourself stories that simply aren't true, what's behind this and what you can do about it.
In doing big things or setting and achieving big goals for yourself; you need to distinguish the desired outcome that made all your efforts worthwhile.

We have various resources for learning social engineering like social-engineer.org, the art of deception by kevin mitnick, the art of social engineering by Christopher Hadgney etc. but then why this same old TALK? The purpose of this talk is to take you one step forward, by teaching you how exactly it could be done. I mean, how can you possibly hack computers without having the basic understanding of how operating system works, how computer protocols works? You need to know what you’re dealing with and then you go ahead and look for the security issues and vulnerabilities in them. Similar scenario is with social engineering, You need to know what you are dealing with. HUMANS. Right!. what do you know about humans other than but being one. How do they operate, how do they make decision, what all factors affects their response etc. Without understanding how humans work? Your knowledge of social engineering and toolkits will not suffice. This talk will unleash the psychological strategies to execute the structure of social engineering.

Chapter 2: Decision Making—The Surprising Reasons People Say Yes and No
Picking his way through the cramped ballroom, with people-filled padded chairs all askew, there was no clear route. Obstacles,
however, were not this man’s primary concern. On his face, you could see his mind racing—searching for what he would say
once he was in front of the crowd. Few people like public speaking, but this situation seemed even more torturous than usual.
He found his standing spot, turned, and faced the crowd.
“I have traveled three hours round-trip every day to attend this session. I’ve driven dangerous roads and in heavy traffic. You
are a talented and knowledgeable group. I have learned from you, and you have learned from me. And I sure could use the
money to help pay for gas. Please, please. Pick me!”
That scene played out in a Calgary persuasion workshop during which I asked three volunteers to vie for a single, crisp $100
bill by convincing the audience to individually award them the money. The idea: Whoever makes the most compelling case,
winning the affections of the crowd, walks away with the cash and the bragging rights.
Participants are allowed to make their case in any way they deem appropriate, with one exception: They can’t share the money
or materially benefit the crowd in any way. (I’ll buy you all drinks!) Adding to the pressure, I give them just four minutes to
develop their case and only 25 seconds to present it.
What would you say if you were in this situation?
This activity mirrors business life today in many ways. You are often in competition with others for the account, the promotion,
the project. You must think on your feet and be able to put together compelling arguments fast, and you might not have much
time to state your case. Sometimes you need to do all this—especially in peer-to-peer persuasion situations—without offering
your target some sort of material gain. Not an easy assignment, to be sure.
The most interesting aspect of this workshop activity, though, is not the people vying for the money—it’s the people deciding
who will earn the money. You may think that people are carefully analyzing participants’ arguments, weighing the pros and the
cons to rationally decide who gets their votes. That’s not what’s happening. At all. The surprising truth is that most people have
no idea why they say yes.

Welcome to the Program Your Destiny course. In this course, we will be learning the technology of personal transformation, neuroassociative conditioning (NAC) as pioneered by Tony Robbins. NAC is used to deprogram negative neuroassociations that are causing approach avoidance and instead reprogram yourself with positive neuroassociations that lead to being approach automatic. In doing so, you change your destiny, moving towards unlocking the hypersocial self within, the true self free from fear and operating from a place of personal power and love.
21. Often times, people have goals or
dreams but are afraid to start, because
they don't know how.
22. They seem to think there is some kind
of step by step plan to make it happen.
23. But just like no society can predict
what inventions will exist in five or ten
years, there is no way YOU can predict
the path between YOU and your goals.
24. Because every single step will require
you interact with the world, and see
what happens.
25. Then you take THAT feedback, which is
necessarily UNKNOWN until it
happens, and use that information to
act again.
