Being lazy is actually a positive trait that has driven many accomplishments throughout history. A common human desire is to get more for less effort through technological advances and innovations. Thomas Edison spent much time trying to invent the light bulb in order to make lighting easier than using candles. There are external ways like creating new technologies, and internal ways like changing one's mindset to see tasks as easy rather than difficult, in order to get more with less effort. Rearranging thoughts and beliefs about oneself and the world can make actions needed to achieve goals feel natural and easy.
6. Because while it's very difficult to
consistently get something for nothing
(as an adult, at least) we humans are
ALWAYS trying to increase what we
get, while decreasing what it takes to
get it.
7. This common desire is the driving
force behind all technological
advances.
8. This is why Edison spent so much time
trying to invent the light bulb.
9. Once an industrial strength electrical
system was set up, flicking switch to
generate light is MUCH easier (and
produces MORE light) than setting up
a bunch of candles around your house.
12. External involves creating new
technology, new systems, working
together in groups where people
specialize in various aspects of
creation.
13. Internally involves shifting your beliefs
around so that doing what needs to be
done is easy, rather than difficult or
frightening.
14. For example, many people LOVE the
idea of the HUGE passive income that
can come from sales, but tremble
when they imagine what it takes to get
there.
16. If you could only get over THAT, then
you'd just need to set up your "sales
funnel."
17. Talk to enough people at the front
end, and just like clockwork, the back
end would start spitting out money.
18. Now, if you happen to be providing
something like insurance, or anything
else that is based on a monthly fee,
then after a while, you can just sit back
and collect your money.
20. The trick is by rearranging your
thoughts, beliefs, and ideas about
yourself and the world, the actions
needed to get what you want can
become a lot easier and natural.
21. Not only that, but when you see the
path is clear, your brain (on it's own)
will start coming up with all kinds of
different ways to get there.
