Spend Time with Yourself
Our mom's usually use a phrase, "i am so busy doing these household chores that i don't
have time for myself".
How often do we sit with ourselves? Yeah with ourselves. How often we spend time
with ourselves? And after asking this question there is a popup in our mind that why is
it important??? Because i am kind of super busy in my life juggling between office
workload and household duties. I am already over-loaded and there is no time for this
activity now. What we don't know is that, it is of high importance that we should spend
time with ourselves. Knowing what is really happening in our life, thinking about what
if it would have gone the other way, re-living our happy moments and experiences could
actually make our life more meaningful. It is seen in studies that people who spend time
with themselves are really much happier as compared to those who won't. We usually
response on the spur of moment, without thinking what our actions might actually result
into.
Spending time with ourselves can be really beneficial as we can know what we really
want from this life, Is our actions helping us in seeking what we want, are we on the
right track, Is this the way we really wanted to live. It happens so many times that a
colleague of ours asks us, what is the one thing that you thrive for? Or what do you
want to accomplish? Or even the simplest question that what is the one thing you are
proud of? What really makes you happy? And in that moment when we are speechless
we realize that we don't know the answer to these questions as we never really spent
any time with ourselves. We never talked with our self to know what we want. We just
kept on following what was in the front and never really thought whether we wanted
this in our life or not.
Spending time with family or friends is important but it is equally important that we
spend time with our-self, our inner self. Play QA with our-self. And it is not that
difficult. You can go on a walk with yourself and can talk to your soul. Just speak what's
in your mind. You can even meditate as meditation makes us calm and we focus on
things while we meditate. You can even start writing your own journal and can keep
the track of what you want from this life and how much you have accomplished.
Spending ten minutes with your self can make a difference.
Some of you might think we are too busy for this thing but spending time with yourself
can actually help in making you much more efficient. When we spend time with our
inner self we sit down calmly and we focus are we on the right track, we kind of rewind
our past actions and it makes our thought process much clearer. And when we have
clarity we can prioritize our work in the right manner and can save a lot of time.
It's Time that we start spending Time with our-self.
Time is the one thing which we can't get back once spent,
So start making the most of it, while you still have.
