This document defines and provides properties of four special types of parallelograms: rectangles have four right angles and opposite sides that are parallel and congruent; rhombuses have all sides that are congruent and diagonals that bisect each other perpendicularly; squares are rhombuses with four right angles; and general parallelograms have two sets of parallel and congruent sides, opposite angles that are congruent, and diagonals that bisect each other and form two congruent triangles. It also gives formulas for perimeter and area.
