The SolarWinds Public Sector Cybersecurity Survey Report, conducted among 400 IT decision-makers in December 2019 to January 2020, aims to understand the challenges and sources of IT security threats faced by public sector organizations. Key findings reveal budget constraints, careless insiders, and complexity in internal environments as significant obstacles, while maturity in cybersecurity capabilities varies across federal, state, and educational institutions. Overall, federal respondents reported higher maturity levels in cybersecurity practices compared to those from state, local, and educational sectors.
