2. Solar fabrics :-
• Solar cell fabric is a fabric with embedded
photovoltaic (PV) cells which generate electricity
when exposed to light.
• Traditional silicon based solar cells are expensive
to manufacture, rigid and fragile.
• As compared to solar cell panels fabrics are more
cheaper, light in weight, and flexible and able to
produce quite good amount of energy.
• It is too much lighter than classic solar panels, can
be bent or glued on any surface , contains no toxic.

3. Their life spam is about 20 years .
Compared to the traditional solar panels, the solar fabric captures less energy, 13% to 15-18%,
but is more stable when the temperatures change, working even on gray days by collecting a
wider spectrum of light.

4. Solar roadways
• A solar roadway is a street surface
that produces electricity with the
help of solar energy .
• It consists of a glass layer, an
electronic layer, and a base plate
layer.

5. 1. Glass Layer
It is the upper part of the road on which low-weight vehicles and bicycles can travel. The glass layer
should have good durability, fire resistance, and adequate strength to protect the layers underneath

The electronic layer is placed below the glass layer and is composed of solar photovoltaic cells and
chipboard. The chipboard senses the loads and controls and monitors the fixed heating element within
the surface layer. The electronic layer converts light vitality to electric energy. The electronic layer is
manufactured from aluminum.
3. Base Plate Layer
It is the bottom-most layer of a solar roadway that collects the electrical energy and transmits it to the
power station. The base plate layer is manufactured from steel and supports the other layers while
resisting the external weather conditions.
