The house works designed with the principle of energy balance
• Potential use of solar radiation to make solar energy with innovative PV modules.
• System Advisor Model (SAM) used to estimate energy production
• The thermal performance of the prototype predicted with the building simulation software ARCHIWIZARD
• The software simulates the house thermal behavior, depending on the weather data, composition of walls, roof and
floor, and occupancy scenario.
• Simulation modeling enabled the best architectural design for the prototype with reduced energy consumption and
optimized use of material and strategies for energy balance
• Potential use of night cooling strategy with natural ventilation reducing the use of the HVAC system and saving
energy
• Envelope material with high inertia cools the prototype during the night and keeps the coolness during the day
• Energy efficiency measure (EEM) improved the design of structural and insulation with a reduced thermal bridge.
• Home automated balance the artificial lighting control and all the appliances with minimum energy class ‘A’
consuming minimum of energy leads to a significant reduction in electricity bill.
• The solar thermal panels save energy by use of solar energy to produce hot water for the dishwasher and washing
machine.
• The smart management system integrates all data stored at a database to supervise the appliances, system energy
behavior and regulate the functioning of systems for the reduction in energy consumption.
