Democracy
Direct- People vote
Representative- When citizens elect a representative to vote and create laws.
Basically, the people rule

Theocracy
Where a God/Deity is recognized as the states supreme ruler (Pope)

What is the primary focus of the European Union?
it is committed to the regional integration. They have a set of laws that apply to all
member states which ensure freedom for movement.
it also makes sure that all money is equally balanced between members.
Monarchy
The government is ruled by a king, queen, or emperor.
Constitutional/Absolute

Briefly describe what influence the citizens in a Democracy
The people vote for the person they think will offer the best life for them. Someone who
will give freedom, health care, etc.

GROUP 2

Totalitarianism
where the state has no limits to its authority.

Dictatorship
Autocratic form of government which the government is ruled by an individual, the
dictator, with out hereditary ascension.

Briefly describe what the influence the citizens in Totalitarianism
Government has total power and the people have no say in politics

Oligarchy
power efficiently rests with a small elite segment of society distinguished by royal
wealth.

Executive Branch
sole authority and responsibility for the daily administration of the state bureaucracy.

What is the primary focus of UNICEF?
they give children rights to have a voice, reject poverty, they reject poverty and the try to
prevent death from preventable causes.


Judicial Branch
A court system that applies laws in the name of the state.

Legislative Branch
Deliberate assembly that passes laws

Cultural Hierarchy
Classifying by culture

Communism
Hitler, A nation in which the government owns industries, businesses, and land.

Explain Social Darwinism
Competition. Example, Germany needed to acquire land from Russia

It's a belief that nations in a perpetual conflict and only the strong can survive. It's a
single party state. Adolf Hitler and Mussolini are examples.

World Peace
