Keith Bohanna has used blogging and social media to amplify his passion for organic and artisanal food production over the past 15 years. He started the blog Biabeag in 2010 to profile small food producers and their brands. He then organized the Foodcamp event in 2010-2013 to connect passionate people. In 2014, he began hosting Biabeag events to further network individuals. Most recently in 2015, he launched Real Bread Ireland, a movement to support baking with natural ingredients that has grown from 6 to 31 members due solely to digital networking platforms like blogs, social media, and email newsletters. Photosynthesis is the process by which plants, algae, and some bacteria use sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide to produce oxygen and energy in the form of glucose. It takes place in chloroplasts, which contain chlorophyll and other photosynthetic pigments. The light-dependent stage uses energy from sunlight to produce ATP and NADPH through photophosphorylation. The light-independent stage, also called the Calvin cycle, uses ATP and NADPH to fix carbon from carbon dioxide into organic molecules like glucose. Photosynthesis provides a critical energy source and oxygen for living organisms.
Respiration is the process by which cells use oxygen to break down glucose and other food molecules, and use the energy from these reactions to produce ATP, which cells use as energy currency. It occurs in three main stages - glycolysis, the Krebs cycle in the mitochondria, and oxidative phosphorylation. During these stages, electrons are transferred through electron carriers and coenzymes like NADH and FADH2, building up a proton gradient across the mitochondrial inner membrane. ATP is then produced as protons flow back through ATP synthase enzymes. The overall process converts glucose and oxygen into carbon dioxide, water, and ATP to power cellular work.

Tim and his sister-in-law Katie are climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for Mary's Meals in memory of Tim's brother Jon who died in 2007. Jon had admired Mary's Meals, which provides daily school meals to over 3/4 million hungry children worldwide. The fund set up in Jon's name has allowed Mary's Meals to feed all 760 pupils at a school in Malawi for over 10 years. By climbing Kilimanjaro, Tim and Katie hope to raise more funds to continue Jon's support of Mary's Meals mission to educate children through school feeding programs.
On Friday 29th September 2017 at Assembly, a group of P3 pupils joined Send A Cow Ambassador, Robert Stephens, in presenting how they are taking action as global citizens in support of four of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Our three Primary Three classes are again leading the whole school Harvest Appeal with their Class Teachers and DHT Ms Anstruther, which this year is in support of the Send a Cow charity.
Each child in P3 is producing hand drawn collection envelopes which will be distributed to each of our families. If all our families contribute £1 we will reach a goal of £640 and be able to gift a cow to a family in Africa. Primary Three pupils are taking on different young workforce lead roles for their appeal campaign, such as Communications, Publicity and Finance.
Send a Cow Ambassador, Robert Stephens, spoke with passion and eloquence to explain to the children how the charity works with families in Africa to provide training in not only animal husbandry but also in sanitation, irrigation and keyhole farming. He relayed the story of Jennifer whom he had visited in Uganda and saw first hand the huge difference the project had made to her life and that of her family. Jennifer was able not only to provide milk and vegetables for her own family, but could sell surplus at market to pay for tools, medicine and schooling. Perhaps most telling was Robert's final slide which showed that Jennifer had reached such a self-sufficient stage that she was able to purchase an ornamental vase, merely because she 'liked it.'
Primary Three invited everyone to help Make A Difference by supporting their appeal with donations in the envelopes and also contributing to their planned bake sale on Friday 13th October. We wish them great success in their endeavours and thank Robert for his gracious time supporting the children.

The money raised will help alleviate poverty and hunger among children in the UK and other countries. Support is requested through company sponsorships and school fundraising.
The document outlines steps for a marketing campaign, beginning with setting objectives of gaining followers on social media platforms and tracking key performance indicators.
It then describes the target persona as a 25-year-old single female content writer who enjoys reading, writing blogs, and designing social media posts.
For the blog post, it chooses to discuss Cadbury's "Donate Your Words" campaign that aimed to raise awareness of loneliness among older people. The campaign removed words from chocolate packaging to generate curiosity and included a video of a presenter experiencing isolation. It encouraged people to donate kind words and actions to the elderly.
The final steps discuss crafting social media posts for the campaign on Facebook, Twitter, and
Kara Blankinship organized a food drive to help those in need. She notes that around 800 million people worldwide suffer from hunger. To start a food drive, she recruited volunteers and distributed fliers at local businesses and homeless shelters. On the day of the event, she ensured there was enough food and the space was comfortable. Blankinship found the project rewarding and hopes to continue organizing food drives to make a positive impact in her community.
The document discusses various platforms and programs from organizations aimed at ending child hunger. It outlines initiatives like providing cooking and nutrition classes to families, food drives in schools, donating meals and food, and raising public awareness about childhood hunger and solutions through media campaigns and celebrity endorsements. The overall goal is to improve access to nutritious food and educate children and families about healthy eating on a budget.
