Social networking sites (SNS) allow users to construct profiles, connect with other users, and view their connections. SNS have grown significantly since the 1990s. They provide personal advantages like networking and entertainment, and corporate advantages like advertising. However, privacy and property concerns are disadvantages, such as unwarranted access of private information and issues around intellectual property rights.
