they were published, but on their relevancy and
engagement instead.
5. Prioritizing the content through

12. HOW TO SET SOCIAL MEDIA GOALS
SMART is an acronym for:
Specific: Your goals should be clear, simple and
defined.
Measurable: This is where analytics come in. You
want a goal that has one or more metrics.
Achievable: Is it achievable or is it not possible
within your resources?
Realistic: With your current resources of time and
money, is it possible to achieve your goals?
Time sensitive: Every goal needs a time frame,
whether it’s one year or several months.
The key to setting any goal is to be both specific and difficult.
14. INCREASE BRAND
AWARENESS
Common metrics for increasing brand awareness on Facebook :
Fan count
Page and Post Impressions
Post Reach
Link clicks (if you are linking to your organization’s website or blog)
Website analytics for social referrals
15. INCREASE SOCIAL MEDIA ROI
Common metrics for measuring social ROI
include:
Conversions from social networks
Trials of your product
Landing pages and email signups
Affiliate marketing with social media
influencers
For social media ROI to be measured, you’ll first need to add up
all of the costs associated with social media marketing. This
includes employee hours, advertising spend and social media
marketing tools.
16. CREATE A LOYAL FANBASE
Common metrics of measuring a loyal fanbase
on Instagram include:
Photos tagged of you
Brand hashtags being used
Stories that tag you
Number of engagements per post
Engagements per follower
Editor's Notes
Integrate with other vehicles of marketing
There are no written "right" or "wrong" rules when it comes to social media
If you do not plan on being consistent don't do it at all - it's a waste of everyone's time.
Jack of all trades, master of none
Algorithms may be good for social media users, but for social media marketers it’s quite the opposite due to their complexity as well as the constant, rapid changes.
Simply insert your keywords, and you will receive the latest news regarding social media algorithm changes on your email each time a new article regarding this topic appears on Google.
Organization is one of the keys to success in marketing, so if you are not managing your social platforms with a social media management tool, that needs to change today!
Social management platforms will help you manage multiple social profiles in one place, schedule posts in advance, run contests, track analytics across platforms, and the list goes on.
To create a Boomerang, download the app separately or, if you already have Instagram, you can access Boomerang from Instagram Stories.
Animoto isn’t over-the-top creative, but they get the job done. Works for any business or organization. They offer a free-trial option that doesn’t require a credit card so you can try before you buy.
Biteable claims they are “the world’s simplest video maker” out there. You can make animation videos in minutes. You can easily drag and drop content or upload your own video clips, too.
With Piktochart all you need to do is to enter your data and choose a template and it automatically does the work for you. They do offer a significant discount for Nonprofit Organizations.
MakeaMeme site does not specify if the images are under copyright. It is far safer to use the meme generator, where you can upload your own image or a stock photo for commercial use.
With Canva you can choose from pre-set templates or create your own. Choose among the many design options. Some photos and layouts carry a small price tag. They have over 1 million pre-existing images and graphics to choose from.
Not necessarily a content creator, rather a search engine for animated GIFs & stickers. Giphy organizes all those GIFs so you can find the good content easier and share it out through your social channels. We also feature some of our favorite GIF artists and work with brands to create and promote their original GIF content.
RiteTag Click on View Stats to see hourly statistics, usage graphs and more. Type in a keyword and the tool will show you related hashtags broken down by: Good only for Instagram, Hashtags you can use to get seen now, Hashtags to get seen over time, Hashtags you shouldn’t use…because they’re just not popular enough. It’s kind of like your own personal hashtag advisor!
Tagboard shows you ACTUAL top posts that use that hashtag on Twitter, Instagram, etc. Tagboard doesn’t provide a way to find new hashtags but it will keep you in the loop in terms of what’s relevant in your niche across the whole social web – and this is invaluable. Because you can see actual posts that use your chosen hashtag, you can easily scout out new and related hashtags…simply by seeing which OTHER hashtags are frequently used on these posts.
Tailored Trends: These factors, combined with which tweets are currently trending (not trending yesterday or last week), mean you see tweets that are extremely relevant and popular – right now. If you want to see more details on any specific topic or keyword. Simply click on it and you’ll see all the most recent tweets that use that word or hashtag.
Time is the most valuable resource you have as a worker. If you’re spending a lot of time on social media for your company, wouldn’t you want to make sure you’re receiving the best results possible?
You need goals and analytics to show your leadership that your work is creating results and is aligned with the organization’s vision.
Without goals and metrics, you won’t know if what you are doing is working.
Start with the broad goals that you’d like to achieve over a year and align them with your organization’s strategic plan or vision.
Have you noticed how some organizations have fans posting about them without a prompt from the brand? It’s the ultimate goal of marketers to have such loyal fans and advocates talking positively about the brand without any initiation.
