Our presenter will show you how to set up and start using a free scheduling tool to manage your social media marketing. You will have the opportunity to create 4 weeks’ worth of posts for your business across your key social media channels.

Publer is a free social media scheduling
app that allows you to schedule on 3
different platforms.
A platform is your type of social media,
these can include:
5. How to make a Publer Account
You can either sign in with your existing
Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google or
Apple account or you can Sign Up with
an email address.

6. How to Attach Your Platforms
When in Publer on the left
hand side you can select
social accounts and choose
up to 3 accounts to
schedule on for free.
You can add more accounts
but this comes at an
additional cost.
7. Go to the Publer website.
Sign up or log in using one of your accounts.
Choose the three platforms you would like to add to
your profile.

9. Creating a content calendar allows you
to stay consistent and remain on top of
your socials.
I use Airtable to track the days, content
and Status of each post.

10. Begin your content calendar.
Either open an excel worksheet or Airtable account,
and create the first few posts.
Or, get a physical calendar and begin to write
important content dates.

11. How to Source Royalty Free Images and Use Your Own
Branding
12. Canva is great for selecting royalty free
images and uploading your own
branding.
Both of these tools can be found in the
left navigation bar when you create a
new image.
Specifically we will be looking at
'Elements' and 'Uploads'.

13. Using Canva's free tools you can
have access to a vast range of free
images for your posts.
All you need to do is create a
Canva account, create an image,
select elements and search what
you're looking for.
Some images are only accessible
using the Pro version but there
are plenty available on free!

14. To create branded images in Canva you can use two
main tools.
Firstly, the upload tool allows you to import your
own logos, images and branded icons into Canva so
that every image can show your company.
Secondly, you can use your branded hex codes to
make sure backgrounds and lines follow your
companies exact colours!

15. Go into Canva.
Create a new image.
Search for the images you need in the Elements
section of the left hand bar!
Insert your branding into the design.

17. Time, Day, Frequency
When you're looking at scheduling content
you need to consider the right days, times
and frequency of your posting to make sure
you're not overwhelming your audience.
Try posting at different times of day to see
how much engagement you get.
18. Timing
Write down:
What days you think your audience will be on that
social media platform.
When are your audience accessing that social
media?
20. If you notice a mistake after posting -
don't worry.
For Facebook, LinkedIn and Google My
Business you can edit the post in Publer.
Select the post and press edit to make
any changes!
This won't work for Instagram!

Comment on other posts
