Language
Please remember: We are trying to reach those who are not members of our
church. When posting, please avoid the use of church jargon that may not be
understood. We want our posts about the temple to be easily accessible and
relevant to everyone.
Here are some alternatives you could use:
◦ ward – congregation
◦ stake - region
◦ ordinance - a religious ceremony/sacred rite
◦ covenant - promise/commitment
◦ endowment - religious ceremony/sacred rite
◦ testimony - personal conviction
◦ baptisms for the dead – special ceremonies on behalf of our ancestors
◦ sealing - religious ceremony binding a couple and families
◦ temple recommend – rather than try to explain, use something like:
“After the temple is formally dedicated, it is open only to Church members who are actively
engaged in the faith.”
Advertising Strategy
● Temple Open House, FB Event
→ Target all areas within the Temple district
→ Specify following areas of interest:
Mormon, Mormon.org, family and relationships, architecture,
Christianity, faith, interfaith dialogue, religion, architecture design,
religious belief
→ Cost $35
● Do You Have Your Ticket Yet Meme—as soon as reservations are made
possible on website, to be immediately put out via all social media
outlets.
→ $10 for 5 days paid promotion, which will naturally generate increased organic growth
→ 1 Twitter promoted post—Cost determined by number of interactions with post, so we
can set a pre-determined limit and only increase if seems necessary $10)
● Advertise events via online event advertisements (*See chart on following page.)
● Total Expected Expenditure: $55
