This document announces a photography meetup event organized by The Meetup Group, a collective of school and college photographers in Kolkata. The event will feature photo sharing sessions and talks on social media and personal branding for photographers on August 30-31, 2014. Speakers will include experienced photographers, bloggers, and social media experts. The goal is to connect amateur and professional photographers, help them learn from each other, and build their personal brands through social media. 9. ABOUT
The MeetUp group was informally started in 2012 by Anirban Saha
to connect young minds interested in photography.
It is now a network of 70+ young photographers in different schools
and colleges in Kolkata including the likes of Calcutta Boys School, La Martiniere
for Boys, St. Pauls Mission School, Frank Anthony Public School, Loreto College,
Jadavpur University, Presidency University, Bengal College of Engineering and
Technology, M.P. birla FHS school, Heritage Institute of Technology and more institutes.
Anirban Saha is a SAP Consultant working with the Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.
He is an avid blogger, blogging primarily photographs of Kolkata and Folk Bengal.
One of the top bloggers in the region, he was invited to conduct basic photography and social media
Workshops in St. Pauls Mission School, Pratt Memorial School, Frank Anthony Public School, Loreto College,
Techshu (IT Company) and is connected to many other institutions.
Previous year, his photographs were published by AnandaBazaar Patrika,
Legendary actor – Soumitra Chatterjee, Tabla Maestro Bickram Ghosh (CD: Timeless Tabla),
Harley Davidson, Rolling Stone Magazine (India), The Telegraphs and few other publications of repute.
Except for photo-blogging. He was a research intern in ISI, speaker of NASSCOM (IT Niketan 2012),
speaker in Radio One FM, model in Sananda Magazine (December 15, 2013)
and is associated with various companies in Kolkata.
