1. Couples & Social Media
Introduction
Social networking was created to be used as a tool for networking, hence the name. Today, we see what has
emerged as technology has advanced over the past decade. A certain social networking tool has been said to
be one of the main causes of divorce over the past year. at should show how easy it is to take something that
was meant for one purpose and misuse it for something that’s evil. Let’s be wise in what we use to entertain us.
Although not Biblical, it is true that idle hands are the devil’s playground. Use your time wisely.
Spiritual Background
esiastes 9:10
Proverbs 4:7
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
1 essalonians 5:22
Abstain from all appearance of evil.
1 Timothy 5: 13
And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and
busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
Challenge
Why do we need them anyway? Let’s nd out. Make a list of both you and your partner’s social networking
page. List the reason you opened it in the rst place and from there, both list of the pros and cons of having it.
If the pros outweigh the cons, you get to keep it and share the password with your mate. If the cons outweigh,
you and your partner can opt to delete it and/or open a page together.
