1) A maintenance manager held biweekly workshops to address small operational issues using a problem-solution approach with little structure.

Over 5 hours of simulator time with 20 operators, the study collected over 6,800 data points on response times and accuracy for identification and decision-making tasks. The results showed that operators were significantly faster with the innovative displays compared to conventional, with only slightly lower accuracy. The innovative displays were found to be as reliable as conventional displays but faster to read. Next steps discussed include comparing analog control room performance to a human-machine laboratory and obtaining reference data.

Sam Wagner presented on mistake-proofing in the custom, short-run manufacturing environment. He discussed the challenges of high changeover volumes and lack of standardization. Mistake-proofing using TWI principles and a structured workshop approach helped reduce defects at Donnelly from human error. The workshop focused on challenging myths and providing examples to implement solutions on real problems. This approach helped Donnelly improve quality metrics and become a top supplier.

For Hamlet it was life or death. For agile evangelists it sometimes seems to be the same. How do you introduce agile safely?
I am curious about new ways of working, but also cautious of going too far. You may be wondering what new agile practices to adopt. Perhaps you are already making the same discoveries I have over the past six years.
I work in the middle of the organisation, and have moved from a civil engineering waterfall background to introducing agile in change management. I would like to share with you this story of planting many agile seeds and helping them grow:
Is it practical to choose agile for our change projects?
Can we effectively use it for design and construction projects or indeed anything we do in the business?
Should we continue to use some waterfall techniques?
Can we sprinkle some agile thinking into the waterfall domain?
You may recognise some of the challenges I experienced. Often the lessons come from where it didn’t go as planned. There are also many success stories; memorable moments when it all clicks together and spurs us on in the next step of our maturity.

Uncertainty is core to innovation. However, our current way to manage uncertainty is completely wrong which try very hard to diminish uncertainty in vain. This also brings team into a scarcity mode which lead them into a mode that has not time to think, plan and innovate. This speech will demonstrate how we can use Kanban to manage uncertainty effectively and bring team out of scarcity mode.

Here are the key findings from our questionnaire survey:
- The majority of visitors are families with children under 12, visiting grandparents, or school/university groups between ages 19-26.
- Most visitors learn about Fjord & Baelt through word of mouth, social media, or their website.
- Visitors want to learn about marine life in an engaging way while also being entertained. Many find the center's current overuse of text-heavy displays unattractive.
- Younger visitors ages 12-26 are highly active on social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook and want to see more visual/video content online and at the center.
- Visitors would be more likely to return or recommend Fjord

This document discusses the benefits of agile development and shipping software early. It recommends shipping working software as soon as possible to expose any problems in the development process or technology. By shipping and validating software in small increments, teams can better handle risk, focus on one task at a time, and change course if needed, rather than delaying production and accumulating large amounts of risk. Shipping early and adapting based on feedback is worth the effort required.

Artificial Intelligence for XMLDevelopment
