Two case reports: the first, 50-year-old male patient, A.M.B., who suffered from hemorrhoids (2003 to 2005). Moisturizers, medications and cauterization were not successful. The patient started treatment with auricular acupuncture and apex ear bloodletting. He also received measurement of the
chakras 10 years later, which attested his chakras were rated at the minimum level of energy (1) of 8. The second, a 38-year-old male patient, started treatment with ancient medical tools for vitiligo. On the middle of the treatment, he reported to have symptoms of hemorrhoids. Treatment was the same done in case 1 and received measurement of the chakras.
A multi-center randomized controlled clinical trial of three-step acupuncture...LucyPi1
Abstract Objective: To assess the clinical efficacy and safety of three-step acupuncture and cupping therapy for cervicogenic headache (CEH). Methods: A randomized, single-blind, multi-center, parallel controlled clinical trial was performed, including 63 patients with CEH who met the study criteria. They were randomly divided into treatment (n = 32) and control groups (n = 31). The treatment group was treated with three-step acupuncture and cupping therapy, and the control group was treated with sham acupuncture. The simplified McGill pain scores, comprising three parts: the pain rating index, visual analogue scale score, and present pain intensity, alongside head and neck stiffness and cervical vertebra range of motion, and a safety evaluation were recorded in the two groups before treatment, immediately after the first treatment, after 10 days of treatment, after 20 days of treatment, and 3 months after the end of treatment. Results: Compared with before treatment, the scores at each follow-up time point were significantly improved after treatment; moreover, the treatment group was significantly better than the control group. When the scores at the 3 months follow-up after the end of the treatment were compared with the scores after 20 days of treatment, there were no significant differences in the treatment group while significant differences from the scores of the control group, suggesting that the treatment group had better long-term benefits than the control group. Conclusion: Compared with the sham acupuncture group, the three-step acupuncture and cupping method has a beneficial effect in the treatment of CEH. It provides rapid benefits, has better short- and long-term efficacy than sham acupuncture, and is associated with a low recurrence rate.
Cupping therapy is a promising modality to be used as a complementary therapy for chronic diseases. It may improve the symptoms and quality of life of patients. There is a need for more studies regarding the efficacy and safety of cupping therapy in the treatment of chronic diseases to build a solid scientific evidence regarding this topic.
The effects of nutritional ketosis induced by Bigu-herbs regimen and ketogeni...LucyPi1
Abstract The Bigu-herbs regimen, a Taoism (Taoism is an ancient Chinese Taoist philosophy system) special health-preserving technique to achieve longevity through strict abstinence from food, limits the intake of grains and uses herbs to replace normal diet to gain energy. Practicing Bigu-herbs regimen for several weeks to several years can make one lose weight, prevent diseases, and prolong life. The modern ketogenic diet (KD) mainly limits carbohydrate intake and increase fat intake. The low-carbohydrate, high-fat, and adequate protein diet is well known for its antiepileptic and neurotrophic effects. Limiting the intake of carbohydrate results in energy metabolism reprogramming to mobilize the steatolysis, energize and promote ketone bodies (KBs) production, achieving a state of nutritional ketosis (NK). The researchers summarized how ketone bodies or NK affects diseases and the aging process, as well as the side effects of KD. NK has a favorable effect on caloric intake, lipid parameters, glycemic index, and insulin sensitivity; moreover, it can be used as a treatment option for diabetes, obesity, and other metabolic disorders. NK is recognized as being neuroprotective and is good for epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, and emotional disturbance. Targeting the metabolic differences between tumor and normal cells, NK limits the use of glucose and impairs energy metabolism in cancer cells, inhibiting their growth and rendering them susceptible to clinical treatments. NK also affects inflammation and the release of cytokines, regulate gut flora, extend longevity and health span, and preserve physiologic functions. The side effects of KDs are controllable under the guidance of a specially trained dietitian and medical team.
Fibromyalgia and its management by cupping therapynium
Cupping therapy is especially beneficial for people suffering from fibromyalgia. If you have fibromyalgia, you know how tender your muscles and joints are. Even a vigorous massage can send your body into spasm. Cupping, however, is a non-irritating type of treatment. It will not exacerbate your muscle pain in anyway, or compound any of your fibromyalgia symptoms...

ABSTRACT- The treatment of carbuncle is early administration of antibiotics and surgery. The commonest surgical approach is Saucerization and Incision & Drainage (I&D). Two cases are presented here, one underwent Saucerization and then primary split thickness skin grafting. Another un-derwent I&D for her carbuncle. They were followed up for 8 weeks to assess their outcome. Saucerization produced the shortest length of hospital stay while I&D resulted in shortest wound healing. As a new modality of treatment now-a-days two new modalities gaining popularity for better cosmetic purpose: primary split thickness skin grafting & transposition of local skin/musculocutaneous flap.

Patient Goal/Outcome
Interventions
Rationale for Interventions
Evaluation of Each Goal/Intervention
1)The Patient’s pain will reduce and her sleep will promote by using nonpharmacological methods such as supplements or enhance pharmacological interventions within the next three months.
1a) RN will in addition to administering analgesics, support the client's use of nonpharmacological methods to help
control pain, such as distraction, imagery, relaxation, and application of heat and cold.
1b) RN will ask the client to describe prior experiences with pain, effectiveness of pain management interventions,
responses to analgesic medications (including occurrence of side effects), and concerns about pain and
its treatment (e.g., fear about addiction, worries, anxiety) and informational needs.
1a) Evidence
suggested efficacy and satisfaction when complementary therapies are integrated into pain treatment plans of
older adults (Bruckenthal, 2016 as cited in Ackley et al., 2022, p. 723).
1b) Sleep disturbance and decreased physical activity are adverse
effects of people with chronic pain. In a study of clients with chronic pain, those who participated in a 4 week
multiprofessional program that included psychoeducation and training related to pain, sleep, exercise, and
activity training had improvement in sleep quality and pain intensity (de la Vega, 2019, as cited in Ackley et al., 2022, p. 721).
1a) Goal partially met. Patient’s pain decreased to level 2/10, with relaxation therapy such as meditation and usage of heat pads.
1b) Goal met. Patients starts to drink Valerian root tea and states “It reduced the amount of time takes me to fall asleep and helped me sleep better.”

Development and validation of the perioperative recovery scale for integrativ...LucyPi1
Abstract Purpose: The aim of this study is to develop and validate a scale for perioperative recovery with integrative medicine. Methods: The procedures for developing the scale included a review of both modern and ancient literature, other perioperative scales or questionnaire references, an expert consultation, and interviews with patients and surgeons following standard procedures. Primary face and content validity were assessed through a small-scale patient survey of 50 patients. A final evaluation based on the patient survey was conducted among 354 patients (age range 16-75) from the same hospital. This included testing the perioperative recovery scale for integrative medicine (PRSIM) for scaling properties, reliability, validity and responsiveness. Results: The PRSIM, a 20-item scale, was modified from an initial version transcript which included 122 items. The 20 items in the PRSIM covered five domains: direct influence, indirect influence, activity, mental function and general health perceptions. Five factors extracted from an exploratory factor analysis demonstrated a desirable model fit. A confirmatory factor analysis further indicated that the PRSIM had a good fit with the same sample. A data analysis of the PRSIM with 349 patients showed that it had good internal consistency (α> 0.7), test-retest reliability (ICC > 0.4) and split half reliability (α= 0.66). Conclusions: The PRSIM can serve as a valuable instrument for assessing patient perioperative recovery in integrative medicine. It is acceptable for patients in the perioperative period undergoing treatment by either Chinese or integrative medicine, and has good psychometric properties. Registration number: ChiCTR-TRC-09000527.

GastroIntestinal Disorders
Introduction
Normally, gastric acids are produced and stimulated so that the body can break down consumed foods and digest them easily. The major component of gastric juice is hydrochloric acid, which is produced by oxyntic cells. The secretion of these acids takes place in three phases namely: the cephalic phase, the gastric phase and the intestinal phase. The cephalic phase starts when someone has an urge to eat or smells food. The brain signals the parietal cells to secrete gastric acids and the ECL to secrete histamine. The gastric phase is when someone has eaten and the amino acids present in the food stimulates the production of these acids. The last phase is stimulated by the distention in the small intestines and the amino acids too and the secretion takes place when chime enters the small intestines (Testani et al., 1996).
Gastroesophageal Reflex Disease (GERD)
There are gastrointestinal orders that exist, such as Gastroesophageal Reflex Disease (GERD), Peptic Ulcer Disease (PUD) and Gastritis disorders. Patients suffering from GERD have a complex gastric acid secretion caused by frequent acid reflux. There are cases where HCL frequently flows back to the esophagus and when this happens, the lining of the esophagus becomes irritated. The age factor is visible in this disorder. Older people are more likely to experience this disease than young. However, symptoms are less visible in the elderly. The fact that there is no serious warning symptom of GERD among the elderly makes the disorder more complicated in them. GERD can be diagnosed by a probe test, upper endoscopy or x-ray of the upper digestive system. For the elderly, adequate doses of medication that do not harm the digestive system are effective. Medical therapeautic agents, including PPIs such as pantoprazole and Omeprazole, can also cure GERD.
Peptic Ulcer Disease (PUD)
PUD is caused by an imbalance between the secretion of gastric acid and duodenal mucous defence. When the balance between the two is disrupted, there is a consequence of mucousal injury and hence peptic ulcers. PUD among the elderly is associated by complications and when administering medication, special attention should be given to the elderly since they respond negatively to medications and surgery. PUD can be diagnosed by carrying out both physical and diagnostic tests (Okello, et. al, 2016) . Once it has been diagnosed, laboratory tests can then be undertaken such as breath tests, stool and blood tests. There are two main factors that contribute to the high rate of PUD among the elderly are the high rates of H. Pylori and prescription of drugs that increase damage in the gastroduodenal drugs. Elderly patients receive medical treatment of PUD

Chakras’ Energies Deficiencies as One of the Cause of Kidney Cancerasclepiuspdfs
Introduction: Malignant kidney tumors account for 2% of the global cancer burden, and its incidence is on the rise. The treatment of patients with renal tumors all underwent the same surgical procedures and patients with advanced disease were treated with similar drugs, none of which were effective. In traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), cancer is caused by energy deficiencies and Heat retention. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that one possible cause for kidney cancer development could be the chakras’ energies deficiencies.
Recently published papers have defined the clinical characteristics and overall outcomes of COVID-19 patients with the influence on the healthcare system. Especially, general surgeons are uniquely affected due to the broad range of procedures they perform, many of which are conducted routinely in the outpatient setting. This report aims to represent the clinical presentation and outcomes of elective surgical patients during the COVID-19 epidemic.
Extramedullary Hematopoiesis (EMH) is a compensatory mechanism in response to ineffective hematopoiesis or stress erythropoiesis, in sites other than the bone marrow. The EMH often presents as pseudotumors and may be confused with other benign or malignant tumors. The cause of EMH often
is an underlying hematopoietic disorder, and it may be adequately treated by treating the underlying cause. This will avoid unnecessary surgical interventions. Hence, knowledge of this entity is of utmost importance, and careful history, clinical examination and necessary investigations must be carried out
before deciding the course of therapy.
Dunbar syndrome or celiac artery compression syndrome was described for the first time by Harjola in 1963. It’s an infrequent clinical condition, with few criteria for diagnosis and with obscure pathophysiology. It is usually associated with an extrinsic compression upon the celiac axis near its takeoff from the aorta by fibrous diaphragmatic bands or sympathetic
neural fibers. This syndrome is as uncommon cause for upper abdominal angina. The classic sympthoms include vomiting associated to pos prandial pain, weight loss and soufle
in the epigastric region. Diagnosis is made by abdominal angiotomography, arteriography and magnetic resonance imaging. Surgical ligament release is indicated in case of severe
compression of the celiac trunk or in patient’s refractory to clinical treatment [1].
Female genital mutilation has been condemned far more than male genital mutilation. There seems to be a conspiracy in the scientific community to ignore the benefits of the intact
prepuce (foreskin) and to deny the horrors of male genital mutilation. Science and human rights must always trump and triumph over superstition. The prepuce is on the penis for
a purpose. The foreskin/prepuce is not something to be jettisoned like the umbilical cord. When the umbilical cord is severed neither baby nor mother feel any pain. Why? Because
there are no nerves in the umbilical cord.
Mathematical modeling of the structure of vortex zones between periodic surface-located flow turbulators of a semicircular and square cross-section is carried out on the basis of multi-block computational technologies based on the solution of the factorized finite-volume method of the Reynolds equations (closed with the help of the Menter shear stress transfer
mode) and the energy equation (on different-scale intersecting structured grids). This method was previously successfully applied and verified by experiment. An exhaustive analysis of the corresponding streamlines is presented, proving the advantage of abruded turbulators.
The SARS-CoV 2 pandemic, since its origin in China as a cluster of pneumonia cases, had reached almost every part of the world and had killed more than one million people
worldwide [1]. The case fatality differs substantially between countries along with the number of symptomatic patients, sequelae of the disease and those who require intensive lifecare
support. Such a perceived difference can be attributed to macroecological dissimilarities like the general well-being of the population and a more extent, its demographic structure.
The demographic characteristics, most notably the age structure and population density, has important implications in the spread of infectious diseases [2,3]. Like most of the infectious
diseases we have known so far, COVID-19 is seen more severely in groups like the elderly and those with comorbidities [4,5]. Robustness of the health system and abundance of resources might have helped the western countries to report proportionately a greater number of cases. However huge proportion of elderly population in these countries might have contributed to higher reporting of severe illness and deaths in these countries [6].
“Occam’s Razor is a scientific and philosophical rule that entities should not be multiplied unnecessarily which is interpreted as requiring that the simplest of competing theories be preferred to the more complex or that explanations of unknown phenomena be sought first in terms of known quantity”. [1] Merriam Webster Dictionary, in other words, Occam’s razor says that, of two explanations that account for all the facts, the simpler one is more likely to be correct. “The greatest disorder of the intellect is to believe things because one wishes they were so” [2] Louis Pasteur, 1875. Supposing a man finds a watch. Deliberately or by accident the man smashes the watch to smithereens.
:Extraocular foreign bodies (EOFBs) are a common presentation to the emergency
department (ED). Given that inadequate management can result in severe complications including visual
impairment, ED clinicians may be overly cautious and often schedule patient reviews in the ED even
where it is unnecessary, placing a burden on hospital resources.
Occurrence of a mural thrombus in a diseased descending thoracic aorta (atherosclerotic or aneurysmal) is a well-known and commonly encountered vascular entity. However, thrombus formation in a normal appearing descending thoracic aorta (NADTA) is rarely reported in literature so far. We present an
unusual case report with a brief literature review of an aortic mural thrombus (AMT) in descending thoracic aorta in a young male. He presented at our center in the emergency department with acute onset abdominal pain and underwent a contrast enhanced CT scan that confirmed mural thrombus in
NADTA.
Neuroblastomas are rare extracranial tumors of the pediatric population arising from cells of the embryological sympathetic nervous system. These malignancies most commonly occur in the abdomen, but other sites include the chest, neck, and pelvis with a predisposition for lymphatic and hematogenous
spread. Metastasis to the bone is a poor prognostic indicator, requiring surgical excision and other extensive medical management.
Pilonidal sinus disease is a soft tissue infection. It presents either acutely with abscess or the chronic form of sinus formation. The disease affects multiple body regions but the commonest is the sacrococcygeal region. There are different treatment strategies ranging from simple incision and
drainage of an abscess to complex constructive procedures.

Inflammatory fibroid polyp (IFP) is a rare benign lesion, originating from the submucosa in the gastrointestinal tract. It generally appears as an isolated benign lesion, rarely located at the level of the ileum. Its origin is controversial. Clinical presentation varies depending on its location; invagination and
obstruction are the most common indicative symptoms when the polyp is located at the level of the small intestine. We report the case of a 60-year old patient with abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting and a personal history of intermittent constipation. Radiological imaging objectified ileo-ileal invagination
completely obstructing the ileum light. Segmental resection of the obstructed ileal segment and terminalterminal anastomosis were performed. The final diagnosis of IFP was established using histological examination.
Candida septic arthritis is a debilitating condition affecting joint function. Candida tropicalis, an organism found in normal human flora is noted to be the third most common pathogenic yeast in the elderly and immunosuppressed population. Infections are rare in the US, typically limited to the neonate
and elderly populations. Most infections occur in the south America and southeast Asian regions. In the last 2 decades, Tropialis infection rates have risen impart due to antifungal resistance. We present a case of Candida tropicalis infection in the knee of a 13-year-old female with a past history of relapsed Acute Myeloid Leukemia following bone marrow transplant, pancytopenia and graft vs. host disease.
When properly performed, the true Maze procedure is highly effective to eliminate any type of atrial fibrillation or flutter. Since non-paroxysmal atrial fibrillation is sustained by macro-reentrant circuits located anywhere in both atria, a full bi-atrial lesion pattern is the best way to approach all possible causes in one single step. As we move into less invasive surgical techniques, we must more clearly maintain the
scope of the Maze procedure. Difficult approaches are oftentimes the source for incomplete, unsuccessful,
and frustrated forms of the Maze. T

Capnography is a simple non-invasive monitoring technique that provides prompt and valuable information about patient’s ventilation, perfusion and metabolism. We are presenting a case of a 10 year-old boy
with a history of repaired Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) undergoing a cardiac catheterization for recurrent left pulmonary artery (LPA) stenosis. A variable plateau capnogram waverform was detected and attributed
to ventilation-perfusion abnormalities from differential lung perfusion secondary to critical LPA stenosis. Capnogram can prove vital monitoring tool in detecting critical perfusion abnormalities.
The objective of this letter is to report recent advances on the diagnosis and therapy of the loin pain hematuria syndrome (LPHS). The patho-aetiological link of LPHS with symptomatic
nephroptosis (SN) is a novel discovery of the 21st century that was first preliminary reported in 2002 [1]. The link was confirmed in 2016 in an article that précised the exact pathoaetiology of LPHS; ischemic nephritis and sympathetic neuropathy of SN. It also advanced a 100% curative therapy for LPHS namely; the renal sympathetic denervation and nephropexy (RSD&N) surgery [2].
Bortezomib is a proteasome inhibitor approved for the treatment of multiple myeloma and has known manageable toxicities. Blepharitis is an inflammatory condition of the eyelid that leads to formation of chalazia both causing visual field disturbance. Bortezomib induced blepharitis has not been
well reported in the literature.
While the incorporation of pertuzumab to a chemotherapy and trastuzumab backbone (dual HER2
blockade) yielded a robust improvement in the outcomes of HER2-positive metastatic patients in the
CLEOPATRA study, in the adjuvant setting the same magnitude of benefit was not reproduced with the
addition of pertuzumab in the overall population of the APHINITY study, being the reasons for this discrepancy unknown so far. In the present manuscript, we discuss biological and clinical differences between metastatic and early-stage HER2-positive breast cancer that may potentially explain the different magnitudes of benefit observed with pertuzumab in the different disease settings.

Flu Vaccine Alert in Bangalore Karnatakaaddon Scans
As flu season approaches, health officials in Bangalore, Karnataka, are urging residents to get their flu vaccinations. The seasonal flu, while common, can lead to severe health complications, particularly for vulnerable populations such as young children, the elderly, and those with underlying health conditions.
Dr. Vidisha Kumari, a leading epidemiologist in Bangalore, emphasizes the importance of getting vaccinated. "The flu vaccine is our best defense against the influenza virus. It not only protects individuals but also helps prevent the spread of the virus in our communities," he says.
This year, the flu season is expected to coincide with a potential increase in other respiratory illnesses. The Karnataka Health Department has launched an awareness campaign highlighting the significance of flu vaccinations. They have set up multiple vaccination centers across Bangalore, making it convenient for residents to receive their shots.
To encourage widespread vaccination, the government is also collaborating with local schools, workplaces, and community centers to facilitate vaccination drives. Special attention is being given to ensuring that the vaccine is accessible to all, including marginalized communities who may have limited access to healthcare.
Residents are reminded that the flu vaccine is safe and effective. Common side effects are mild and may include soreness at the injection site, mild fever, or muscle aches. These side effects are generally short-lived and far less severe than the flu itself.
Healthcare providers are also stressing the importance of continuing COVID-19 precautions. Wearing masks, practicing good hand hygiene, and maintaining social distancing are still crucial, especially in crowded places.
Protect yourself and your loved ones by getting vaccinated. Together, we can help keep Bangalore healthy and safe this flu season. For more information on vaccination centers and schedules, residents can visit the Karnataka Health Department’s official website or follow their social media pages.
Stay informed, stay safe, and get your flu shot today!

Introduction
Hemorrhoids are swollen vessels placed around the anus or in the lower rectum. By the
age of 50, half the population will have experienced at least once one of the symptoms of
hemorrhoids. Also known as piles, hemorrhoids can be presented internally or externally.
Internal hemorrhoids are found within the rectum and are not noticed unless they prolapse
and thrust through the anal opening, causing pain and itching. [1,2]. If external, the
hemorrhoids are set underneath the skin on the anus. Most patients notices the condition
when bleeding during excretion and by feeling a form of “fullness” in the anal region [1,2]. An
external hemorrhoid can thrombose when the blood inside the vessel clots, causing several
pains and swelling in anus [1,2]. Both internal and external cases can be diagnosed by physical
exam. If necessary, a colonoscopy or sigmoidoscopy can be order for alternative causes of
bloody stools [1,2]. When the hemorrhoids are external the diagnosis can be done through
physical examination [1,2].
However, when they are internal, the diagnosis is done through a digital examination or
with an anoscope, proctoscope or sigmoidoscope. There are a range of different treatment
of hemorrhoids, because the disease is very common in the third age. Medications with
hydrocortisone are commonly used, and the use of moisturizers is also common. There

Abstract
Introduction: Hemorrhoids are defined as swollen veins in the anus or rectum, similar to varicose veins.
Purpose: Demonstrate through two clinical case reports that patients with hemorrhoids have chakras
energy deficiency and the correction of using ancient medical tools and high-diluted medication can help
patients without performing surgery.
Methods: Two case reports: the first, 50-year-old male patient, A.M.B., who suffered from hemorrhoids
(2003 to 2005). Moisturizers, medications and cauterization were not successful. The patient started
treatment with auricular acupuncture and apex ear bloodletting. He also received measurement of the
chakras 10 years later, which attested his chakras were rated at the minimum level of energy (1) of 8.
The second, a 38-year-old male patient, started treatment with ancient medical tools for vitiligo. On the
middle of the treatment, he reported to have symptoms of hemorrhoids. Treatment was the same done
in case 1 and received measurement of the chakras. All chakras of the patient were rated in the minimum
level (1) of 8.The first treatment was associated with homeopathy and crystal-based medications to
replenish the energy of the chakras.
Findings: The first patient reported improvement after the very first session, claiming that the stinging
sensations had disappeared with no relapses. The second patient only had significant improvement of the
hemorrhoid symptoms when the treatment was associated with the use of homeopathy and crystal-based
medications to replenish the energy of the chakras.
Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that hemorrhoids can be effectively treated using Chinese
dietary counseling, auricular acupuncture, associated with apex ear bloodletting, and bloodletting in
the correspondent rectum point, rebalancing Yin, Yang, Qi, Blood and Heat Retention, and replenishing
the energy of the chakras with high-diluted medication, without the necessity of surgical intervention,
according to these two case reports.
