This document describes a study on developing a MATLAB GUI for computer-assisted learning of morphology techniques in digital image processing. The GUI allows students to simulate four morphology operations - erosion, dilation, opening, and closing - on test images. The objectives are to investigate how the GUI impacts student understanding of morphology, and to compare learning with the GUI versus traditional manual methods. Preliminary results found the GUI interface was user-friendly and helped explain morphology concepts interactively.
