1. Yayoi lived in groups called the uji.
Clans were assigned a single God and were responsible
for performing tributes to this God.
God’s represented aspects of nature or any mysterious
aspects of nature ( early development of Shintoisim).
When a clan defeated another clan they interpreted
that clan’s God into their religion.
Eventually the Yayoi created a hierarchy of Gods.
