Here’s what we covered in chapter 4.

There are a few available page builder plugins compatible with the Storefront theme.
I quickly reviewed the page builder plugin choices available such as:
 Site Origin,
 Visual Composer and,
 VelocityPage.
We did a quick review of the Site Origin Page Builder Plugin. Page Builder by Site Origin is one
of the most popular page creation plugins for WordPress. According to the plugin author it
makes it easy to create responsive column based content, using the widgets you know with a
simple drag and drop page builder. This is optional. You do not have to install a page builder
plugin if you don’t want to use one.
It may not be necessary to make major design edits to the Storefront site but if you want a
visual builder to help you make design and layout changes then one of these plugins will help
you do just that.
I demonstrated how to install a responsive slider.
 You learned how to make CSS edits with the aid of your browser using one of the free
tools such as Chrome’s Inspect Element or
 You can install an add‐on called Firebug for the Firefox browser.
 I customized the header with a call to action.
I also demonstrated how to change the background color for the header.
I also set up a blog posts page. Remember, if you want to have a page to display your blog
posts too, you will have to create another page (you can leave the content blank) and set that
as the Posts Page in the same settings section.
