certifications are recognised at national and EU level, thanks to

8. ECO2 - ENERGY CONSCIOUS CONSUMERS

Energy Conscious Consumers ECO2 will facilitate a large amount of consumers to
become conscious about and improve their energy efficiency. It will offer them two
forms of learning. Either they choose to go alone through an online e-learning, or
they choose to be brought through transformative group learning, in which the e-
learning system supports the group processes. Further, an Action on co-creation of
policies, innovations and designs will be executed and the results communicated to
policy-makers and innovators through policy seminars. ECO2 will continue after
end of project by: 1) an ECO2 Community, 2) stakeholder responsibility for the
ECO2 Platform.

FOR IMPROVED EFFICIENCY IN THE PROCESS INDUSTRIES

The MAESTRI project aims to advance the sustainability of European
manufacturing and process industries. This is done by providing a management
system in the form of a flexible and scalable platform, and to guide and simplify
the implementation of an innovative approach, the Total Efficiency Framework.
The overall aim of this framework is to encourage a culture of improvement within
process industries by assisting the decision-making process, supporting the
development of improvement strategies and helping define the priorities to
improve the company’s environmental and economic performance. Its development
and validation will be achieved through application in four real industrial settings
across a variety of activity sectors.

10. MYLIVEBIO - MICRO DIARY LIVESTOCK BIOREFINERY

MyLiveBio aims to create a feasibility study and business plan for an innovative
solution addressed to diaries. The proposed solution consists in a machinery able
to treat whey and transform it into valuable and sellable products such as lactic
acid, single cell proteins and mineral salts.

The EU-HCWM project aimed to achieve 5 key outputs, which contribute to the
development of a healthcare waste training package, suitable for use across the EU:

workers.

15. EMPOWERING CUSTOMERS TO SAVE ENERGY BY INFORMATIVE
BILLING

The overall aim of the project is to empower consumers by involving and informing
them, helping them take measures to save energy on the basis of the information they
read on their meters or on their bills. This aim can be translated in to three general
objectives:
Achieving measureable energy savings (absolute savings and also peak demand
reduction).
Increasing awareness and motivation of consumers with respect to energy efficiency.
Increasing trust between consumers and energy suppliers as a pre‐requisite for
increasing energy performance for mutual benefit.

17. BIOMASS-CURE: INNOVATIVE PLANTS FOR THE INTEGRATED

Aims of the project
▪ recognise the ‘state of the art’ in managing urban security;
▪ identify the need for the further professionalization of this role, specifically
through higher educational qualifications;
▪ design a comparative programme of teaching and learning about managing
urban security;
▪ test out this programme via a pilot course amongst current and prospective
urban security managers;
▪ develop and disseminate personal and professional specifications for the
emerging role of urban security management, including skills and competencies in
multi-agency working; and
▪ define criteria for the mutual recognition of education and training in urban
security management across the European Union.

The EUSAFE project aimed to develop a new training scheme and qualification for
managers of Occupational Health and Safety. The project started on a training
profile developed by ENSHPO. Within EUSAFE the training profiles have been
harmonised at EU level and a mutual recognised qualification has been developed.
