This document summarizes the design process for a capsule collection focused on the protea flower. It includes sections on research, influences, concept, look book, creative research, elements and principles, mood board, material board, and working on the dress. The collection was inspired by the protea flower and its unique tropical appearance. Research included looking at conceptual and archival influences from other designers. The concept centered relationships in human life represented through the colors of a rainbow. A crinoline skirt was created using wires to hold the shape, taking inspiration from fashion history.

3. After studying about various subjects
and designers I have made a capsule
collection. I was attracted towards the
King white portea flower. It is an
incredibly unique tropical flower that
looks straight out of a storybook. This
novelty flower is the largest in the
portea family.

For starting any collection research is the
first stage. For collecting all the
knowledge and ideas related to the
particular concept and influence,
research is done. To collect the
information from the look book and
magazines the designer has to research.
While research I came across many
designers who find conceptual influence
very attractive. On the other hand I have
also done research about those
designers who find archivism very
attractive.
At this stage of collection with
conceptual and archivism design idea a
research work was undertaken by me. I
have been inspired by the various
designers of conceptual influence and
archivism and I have been also attracted
towards nature.

This stage of collection involves the process of designing on the basis of previous research
this level includes the story board for our collection which will then be projected with a fitted
concept and colour and textures for developing the specific mood for the collection which will
be proceeded in the ideation of the design.

8. The concept of my dress is based
on relationships in human life. We
all are surrounded with beautiful
different kinds of relationships as
per the beautiful colours of
rainbow. As every colour of
rainbow means with its importance
likewise every relationship keep its
own value in human life.

10. I have created an underskirt for my
collection. As I m a learner, so I
created a petticoat skirt in which I
inserted wires so that it can take the
shape I wanted. I took the inspiration
from the crinoline which were used in
the time period of (1790- 1900) From
Revolution to Frivolity by Charles
Worth.
