Personal statement
Currently working at the Goodyear Dunlop Wolverhampton facility which is ceasing
production forcing my redundancy. I am looking to further my career in production
management. A highly self-motivated and well organised individual with a diverse range of
experience in management, leadership and manufacturing. I am accustomed to working to
tight deadlines and meeting targets. I have a sound knowledge of health and safety and
understand the importance of working in a safe environment. I am practical and able to
adapt to any given situation and work well under pressure. I am seeking to further my career
within management, supervision or manufacturing where my existing skills and experience
can be put into practice. I am willing to participate in further training to enhance existing skills
or to develop new ones and given the opportunity I would become a valuable member of
your team

• Ensure the day to day safety of all staff and operators is prioritised.
• Manage and supervise a team of 40+ on a day to day basis.
• Roll out and manage continuous improvement projects to help improve productivity
and reduce costs DMAIC / TPM / 5S
• Control of employee’s hours and staff levels working to an annual operating plan.
• Controlling engineering down time including purchasing parts from outside sources.
• Control stores withdrawals to help reduce cost i.e. PPE and engineering parts..
• Using computer systems (CMS SAP MRP) to help control /improve machine non-
mechanical breakdown time.
• Organise and control machine schedules.
• Ensure all relevant associate training is up to date.
Since October 2015 I have also taken on the roll of health and safety officer which
has given me the opportunity to gain qualifications in this area and my responsibilities
are as follows.
• Ensuring all shift fire drills are carried out in a timely manner.
• Plan and execute all plant fire evacuation drills.
• Complete root cause analysis and risk assessments.
• Conducting accident investigation and closing out action items.
• Conducting health and safety inspections on a daily basis.
• Control of on-site contractor’s health and safety.
• Carrying out fire and health and safety risk assessments.
