Research and findings
Water IssuesIn Brazil theres 0.3 % of fresh water, so that would be 118, 639 billions of literes of fresh water. In Dinmarktheres 69.6% of fresh water, so that would be 24,36 trillionsliteresof fresh water. In North America theres 30.1% of fresh water, so that would be 10,55 trillionsliteresof fresh water. In the hole world we have 35 trillionsliteresof fresh water.Almost 70% of fresh water of the world is contained in ice´s form. The rest in it´s mayor part is in the thanks that we are using with more speed than natural speed.2\3 of our fresh water is used to produce food. With 83 million people on earth each year, the demand of water will be more, unless we change the use of it. The USA uses nearly 380 literes of water in houses daily.Millions of the poorest people in the world consist of children younger than 19 years old 46% of people in the world do not have fresh water in their homes.Women in developing countries walk 6km for getting fresh water. In 15 years, 1800 millionpeople will live in regions with poor water resources. One of each 8 people do not have any acces to clean water and fresh water. 3.3 million people die each year for health issues related with water.REF: National Geographic Magazine Water edition april.

    Newspaper- 6weeks to degrade
  • 22.
  • 23.
    Foam- 50years to degrade

WATER TREATMENT inacueducto bogotanoThe plant treatment for water PTAR SALITRE, helps to unpollute the water of the river salitre.
  • 69.
PTER salitreis the result of the effort with the nacionalgoverment, the distrital and the AcueductoBogotano, gives out 4 thousand litteres of water each second to the Bogota river.
  • 70.
The processaplied is a primary treatment chimacallyasisted, it extracts from water 40% organic material and a 60% of solids.
  • 71.
The planttreats water produced from aproximately 2.2 millions of habitants, correspondant of the 28% that is the total poblation of the city comes from homes, offices, schools and universities.FUN FACTS!Some 70% of the earths surface is covered by seas and oceans, and these produce almost ¾ of the oxygen we humans breathe. We can use directly only 1% of this water, however , in many forms of human activities put water resources under considerable pressure.Whatever the source of pollution is, it can be harmful a effect on human health and enviroment.Washing your hands with soap can reduce a lot of diseases until the 45%.REF: europa.eu
