FLEET MANAGEMENT

Fleet management is the management of a company’s vehicle fleet. Fleet management includes
all motor vehicles such as cars, vans, motorcycles and trucks. Fleet (vehicle) management can
include a range of functions, such as vehicle financing, vehicle maintenance, vehicle telematics
(tracking and diagnostics), driver management, fuel management and health & safety manage-
ment.

Vehicle Telematics - (tracking and diagnostics)
Vehicle tracking is a way of monitoring the location, movements, status and behavior of a ve-
hicle or fleet of vehicles. This is achieved through a combination of a GPS(GNSS) receiver and
an electronic device (usually comprising a GSM GPRS modem or SMS sender) installed in each
vehicle, communicating with the user (dispatching, emergency or coordinating unit) and PC- or
web-based software.

Thin client technology takes advantage of the improved performance of modern day computers
and allows for multiple users on terminals to work off one Desktop or Server other users will
only require a monitor keyboard and mouse. We Market Two Brands of thin clients these being
Ncomputing as well as LG Thin Clients

Ncomputing Product Line
The Ncomputing product line comprises of devices on to which the monitor keyboard and mouse
plug into. These devices together with Ncomputing Vspace software allow users to have the
same experience as if they were sitting on individual Desktops.

They are 3 different series to cater for a variety of consumer needs

1) Ncomputing X series, Comes in 3 or 5 user kits. PCI card based connectivity, can cater for a total of ten
users running off on one PC.
2) Ncomputing L series, a single device that provides connectivity through a local area network, has virtu-
ally no distance limitation and can cater for up to 30 users running off on Pc/ Server
3) Ncomputing U series, a single device that provides connectivity though USB ports. Can cater for a total

DITEX EXTENDED COMMUNICATION

DiTex4ab, as a basic voice access system, was developed and thoroughly tested in some of the
most remote areas of South Africa. The DiTex256 and DiTexE1/Ethernet systems were the result
of the need for small capacity point-to-multipoint access systems, as well as a transport system
to compliment high-capacity, high-volume and high-costly systems.

DITEX4AB SYSTEM

The DiTex4ab system is a low-cost access system which allows for 4 x voice ports and Ethernet
ports to be extended up to 100 km away from the local exchange.
The DiTex4ab can be utilized in a point-to-point and point-to-multipoint configuration, depending
on the specific need in an area. The operating frequency is in the 350 MHz (FDD) band. This
operating frequency was chosen for the propagation characteristics in no-line-of-sight conditions.
Typically of deep rural areas are the low tele-density and vast distances from local exchanges to
subscribers.
