The document analyzes the working capital turnover ratios of BHEL and Crompton Greaves from 2002-2003 to 2011-2012. It finds that BHEL had an average working capital turnover ratio of 2.01 over this period, ranging from 1.61 to 2.59 annually. Crompton Greaves had a higher average ratio of 6.44, ranging from 5.24 to 8.69. The document compares the ratios between the two companies and uses a t-test to determine if there is a significant difference between their working capital efficiency.
The aim of the article is to analyse labour productivity key indicators of manufacturing or working efficiency of European Union (EU), it the theoretical bases and the regularities of these changes. We use regression analysis. Knowledge of the regularities of labour productivity changes allows predicting future changes and make optimal business decisions. The basis is gross domestic product (GDP) analysis. We will analyse labour productivity by turnover and gross value added per person employed of manufacturing total and partly by countries, but also GDP per capita. Contributions of Productivity and Relative Price Changes to Wheat Profitabili...Dr. Amarjeet Singh
Using the provincial panel data of wheat from 1998 to 2018, based on the total price and quantity framework proposed by O'Donnell(2010), and using Färe-Primont productivity index, this artical decomposes the change of wheat profitability into the change of input-output relative price (TT) and the change of total factor productivity (TFP), and further decomposes the change of TFP into technological progress and efficiency change based on input orientation. The results showed that the overall profitability of wheat decreased by 24.9% compared with 1998, which was attributed to the decrease of TT by 32.6% and the increase of TFP by 11.4%. Results indicate that profitability change is mainly driven by TT change, and the impact of TT change on wheat profitability was alleviated by the compensatory change of TFP. The main driving factor of wheat TFP growth is technical progress, Compared with the growth of technical progress, the technical efficiency grows slowly.
A Study in Financial Analysis of Marble Manufacturing ProcessIRJESJOURNAL
Abstract :- The motive of the work is to analyze a marble industry financially, based on the idea of Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA). LCCA is an important tool to understand the most lucrative option among different competing alternatives to purchase, own, operate, maintain and eventually dispose of an object or process. All the costs are discounted to a present-day value known as Net Present Value (NPV). NPV helps to choose a better investment option or even let us understand that whether the investment is even profitable or not. The crux of the matter is justified by taking multiple aspects under consideration viz., Owning Cost, Operating Cost, Maintenance and repairs. The values were projected for the next 20 years considering it as the life of the industry.
Estimation of Elasticities of Substitution for CES and VES Production Functionsidspak
This paper presents estimates of elasticities of substitution based upon data obtained from a survey of large-scale firms in the wheat flour milling, rice husking, sugar refining and edible oil processing industries in Pakistan.

The nature of co-movement between total output and employment during the 1990s indicates that the relationship between employment growth and economic activity has been peculiar in Finland. This has been reflected, for example, in the developments of aggregate labour productivity. In particular, the years from 1992 to 1994 were exceptional. During that period productivity growth was very rapid, and, what is important, the trend of aggregate labour productivity shifted upwards. By only analysing the relationship between total output and employment it is impossible to say what happened during the period between 1992 and 1994. In this paper the relationship is analysed by utilizing industry-level data. The analysis shows that the rapid growth in aggregate productivity and the upward shift in the productivity trend mainly reflect similar developments in manufacturing, particularly in the metal industry. Even though the investigation is based on the use of industry-level data, it is still aggregative, which makes the interpretation of the results less clearcut. The existing studies which are based on the use of micro-level (e.g. plant-level) data support the interpretation which emphasizes the role of business restructuring and labour reallocation within manufacturing as the causes of rapid productivity growth and the upward shift in the trend productivity. The analysis is based on the estimation of simple structural VAR models.
Performance of Power Loom Textiles: A Resource-based ViewAM Publications
Despite increasing attention paid to the Resource-based View (RBV), there is a dearth of empirical evidence
on the interactions among different RBV performance dimensions and their effect on organizational performance.
This paper examines and to extend the literature, by obtaining an understanding of the link between resources,
capabilities and organizational performance in terms of operational performance, financial performance and non
financial performance by using a survey research in the framework of Resource-based View. The RBV involves the
different performance dimensions such as tangible assets, intangible assets and capabilities. Numerous prior studies
have sought to examine the links between resources and organizational performance in particular efficiency by
secondary data and using quantitative methods.
This paper involved a quantitative examination of the relationship between tangibles assets, intangibles assets
and capabilities and organizational performance of power loom textiles of Maharashtra (India). The primary data of
one hundred and sixty power loom textiles of Maharashtra is collected through questionnaire to examine the
relationship between tangibles assets, intangibles assets and capabilities with the operational performance. It also
examines the relationship between operational performance with the organizational performance. This study finds a
positive relationship between performance dimensions and organizational performance. The hypotheses are developed
in the framework of RBV and tested by using the statistical method.
This study addresses the connection between reorganization and unemployment in the labour market. Reorganization of regional labour markets measured by simultaneous gross migration flows lowers the unemployment rate, based on evidence from a panel of Finnish regions. However, reorganization is shown to be unrelated to long-term unemployment.
Inventory Management includes detail study about inventory, its importance and effectively it should be managed for smooth operations of business. Inventories are assets of the firm and require investment and hence involve the commitment of firm’s resources. Every firm is required to manage the inventories in such a way as to get the best returns. The objective of inventory management is to determine the optimum level of the inventory that is the level at which the interest of all the departments are taken care of. The inventory management seeks to maximize the wealth of the share holders by minimizing the cost of procuring and maintaining. The objective behind the inventory management is maintaining sufficient stock of raw materials ensuring continuous supply to production process for uninterrupted production schedule and minimizing the total annual cost of maintaining inventories. Inventories are assets of the firm and hence involve the commitment of firm’s resources managers must ensure that the firm maintains inventories at the correct level. Siriguppa Likitha | Dr. B. C. A Non-Parametric Approach for Performance Appraisal of Agricultural Market Co...IOSR Journals
Efficient performance of Agricultural Market Committees (AMCs) is considered to be the sine quo non for the economic development of an agrarian country like India. Though the number of AMCs has been steadily increasing in India, still the farmers are being exploited by one form or another in transacting the agricultural commodities. In view of this, several apprehensions and concerns were raised fearing about the performance of AMCs in discharging the regulatory provisions for efficient transaction of agricultural commodities. Various enactments have been formulated by Government from time to time to revamp the agricultural marketing system in the country and presently, Model act 2005 (The State Agricultural Produce Marketing (Development and Regulation) Act, 2005) has been under implementation. In this context of exploring the agricultural marketing system with a farmers ended approach, the present paper aims at analyzing the performance appraisal of AMCs in Coastal region of AP in India through Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA) approach. The analytical findings revealed that 53% of selected AMCs are being operated at Scale Efficiency <1. The remaining 47% AMCs are being operated at constant return to scale (CRS) and this directs the Government to continue the existing support even in the future.
The paper investigates the determination of average working time in Finland. The issue is studied by using data from six industries from 1960 to 1996. The main empirical result is that both an increase in labour productivity and a widening of tax wedge have contributed to a decline in average working time in Finland. These observations are consistent with the predictions of theoretical model.
The MSME (Micro Small and Medium Enterprises) sector in India has been of considerable
importance since Independence. The small and medium sector contributes 39 per cent of the total GDP and 34
per cent of the total exports of the country. The sector provides employment to 29.5 million people in rural and
urban areas of the country and has emerged as the second largest employment providing sector in the country
after agriculture. The small and medium sector has been recognized as engine for growth in the country.
Keeping in view the importance of this sector efforts have been made by the government to ensure steady
availability of financial resources. SIDBI (Small Industries Development Bank of India) is the apex institution
for making available financial resources to the small scale industries. In this paper, a financial analysis of the
development financial institution SIDBI in the post liberalization period has been conducted with a view to
analyze its function in the changed operating environment after 1991.
Progressive India in Output and Employmentectijjournal
Keeping in view, the limitations present in literature, we try to analyze for, the pattern of growth of output and employment and its determinants in Organised Manufacturing Sector in India. States which contribute to more than eighty percent of the total output and employment in India are considered. We use Gross Value Added and Total Output for the indicator measuring for Output. Total persons engaged and Labour Index are the indicators for Employment. This is one of our major contributions to literature. The research design of the study is based on secondary data. The findings reveal the impact of New Economic Policy across India as a whole and the impact of Global financial crisis across selected states. Liberalization has been able to make a significant positive impact while Global financial crisis had no effective impact. Employment growth has been positive after liberalization. This has also been observed through structural breaks. Over the period of Study, there has been increase in the number of states with a rising growth rate. Output Elasticity of employment has proved the job creating capability of each state as of India as a whole. In addition to these, we have observed the effect of determinants of output and employment growth across States. Thus, our work is a concise study on the two main parameters of the Indian economy which shall enrich the existing literature as well as policy makers for progressive development and a sustainable development of our nation.

Using data of listed firms on Hochiminh Stock Exchange, the study examines the impact of free cashflowson firm performance of manufacture, trade and real estates sectors. The findingsconsistently show that free cashflowshave a positive effect on firm performance for all sectors. However, the impact of free cashflows on firm performanceis different between firms with and without investment opportunities. This shows the relevance of Jensen's free-cashflows theory (1986) to listed Vietnamese firms at thesectoral level.

MODELING AND ANALYSIS OF SURFACE ROUGHNESS AND WHITE LATER THICKNESS IN WIRE-...IAEME Publication
White layer thickness (WLT) formed and surface roughness in wire electric discharge turning (WEDT) of tungsten carbide composite has been made to model through response surface methodology (RSM). A Taguchi’s standard Design of experiments involving five input variables with three levels has been employed to establish a mathematical model between input parameters and responses. Percentage of cobalt content, spindle speed, Pulse on-time, wire feed and pulse off-time were changed during the experimental tests based on the Taguchi’s orthogonal array L27 (3^13). Analysis of variance (ANOVA) revealed that the mathematical models obtained can adequately describe performance within the parameters of the factors considered. There was a good agreement between the experimental and predicted values in this study.
A STUDY ON THE REASONS FOR TRANSGENDER TO BECOME ENTREPRENEURSIAEME Publication
The study explores the reasons for a transgender to become entrepreneurs. In this study transgender entrepreneur was taken as independent variable and reasons to become as dependent variable. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire containing a five point Likert Scale. The study examined the data of 30 transgender entrepreneurs in Salem Municipal Corporation of Tamil Nadu State, India. Simple Random sampling technique was used. Garrett Ranking Technique (Percentile Position, Mean Scores) was used as the analysis for the present study to identify the top 13 stimulus factors for establishment of trans entrepreneurial venture. Economic advancement of a nation is governed upon the upshot of a resolute entrepreneurial doings. The conception of entrepreneurship has stretched and materialized to the socially deflated uncharted sections of transgender community. Presently transgenders have smashed their stereotypes and are making recent headlines of achievements in various fields of our Indian society. The trans-community is gradually being observed in a new light and has been trying to achieve prospective growth in entrepreneurship. The findings of the research revealed that the optimistic changes are taking place to change affirmative societal outlook of the transgender for entrepreneurial ventureship. It also laid emphasis on other transgenders to renovate their traditional living. The paper also highlights that legislators, supervisory body should endorse an impartial canons and reforms in Tamil Nadu Transgender Welfare Board Association.
BROAD UNEXPOSED SKILLS OF TRANSGENDER ENTREPRENEURSIAEME Publication
Since ages gender difference is always a debatable theme whether caused by nature, evolution or environment. The birth of a transgender is dreadful not only for the child but also for their parents. The pain of living in the wrong physique and treated as second class victimized citizen is outrageous and fully harboured with vicious baseless negative scruples. For so long, social exclusion had perpetuated inequality and deprivation experiencing ingrained malign stigma and besieged victims of crime or violence across their life spans. They are pushed into the murky way of life with a source of eternal disgust, bereft sexual potency and perennial fear. Although they are highly visible but very little is known about them. The common public needs to comprehend the ravaged arrogance on these insensitive souls and assist in integrating them into the mainstream by offering equal opportunity, treat with humanity and respect their dignity. Entrepreneurship in the current age is endorsing the gender fairness movement. Unstable careers and economic inadequacy had inclined one of the gender variant people called Transgender to become entrepreneurs. These tiny budding entrepreneurs resulted in economic transition by means of employment, free from the clutches of stereotype jobs, raised standard of living and handful of financial empowerment. Besides all these inhibitions, they were able to witness a platform for skill set development that ignited them to enter into entrepreneurial domain. Living in 21st century in itself reminds all of us the necessity of police and its administration. As more and more we are entering into the modern society and culture, the more we require the services of the so called ‘Khaki Worthy’ men i.e., the police personnel. Whether we talk of Indian police or the other nation’s police, they all have the same recognition as they have in India. But as already mentioned, their services and requirements are different after the like 26th November, 2008 incidents, where they without saving their own lives has sacrificed themselves without any hitch and without caring about their respective family members and wards. In other words, they are like our heroes and mentors who can guide us from the darkness of fear, militancy, corruption and other dark sides of life and so on. Now the question arises, if Gandhi would have been alive today, what would have been his reaction/opinion to the police and its functioning? Would he have some thing different in his mind now what he had been in his mind before the partition or would he be going to start some Satyagraha in the form of some improvement in the functioning of the police administration? Really these questions or rather night mares can come to any one’s mind, when there is too much confusion is prevailing in our minds, when there is too much corruption in the society and when the polices working is also in the questioning because of one or the other case throughout the India. It is matter of great concern that we have to thing over our administration and our practical approach because the police personals are also like us, they are part and parcel of our society and among one of us, so why we all are pin pointing towards them.

ROLE OF SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN RURAL DEVELOPMENT OF INDIA - PROBLEMS AND ...IAEME Publication
The majority of the population in India lives in villages. The village is the back bone of the country. Village or rural industries play an important role in the national economy, particularly in the rural development. Developing the rural economy is one of the key indicators towards a country’s success. Whether it be the need to look after the welfare of the farmers or invest in rural infrastructure, Governments have to ensure that rural development isn’t compromised. The economic development of our country largely depends on the progress of rural areas and the standard of living of rural masses. Village or rural industries play an important role in the national economy, particularly in the rural development. Rural entrepreneurship is based on stimulating local entrepreneurial talent and the subsequent growth of indigenous enterprises. It recognizes opportunity in the rural areas and accelerates a unique blend of resources either inside or outside of agriculture. Rural entrepreneurship brings an economic value to the rural sector by creating new methods of production, new markets, new products and generate employment opportunities thereby ensuring continuous rural development. Social Entrepreneurship has the direct and primary objective of serving the society along with the earning profits. So, social entrepreneurship is different from the economic entrepreneurship as its basic objective is not to earn profits but for providing innovative solutions to meet the society needs which are not taken care by majority of the entrepreneurs as they are in the business for profit making as a sole objective. So, the Social Entrepreneurs have the huge growth potential particularly in the developing countries like India where we have huge societal disparities in terms of the financial positions of the population. Still 22 percent of the Indian population is below the poverty line and also there is disparity among the rural & urban population in terms of families living under BPL. 25.7 percent of the rural population & 13.7 percent of the urban population is under BPL which clearly shows the disparity of the poor people in the rural and urban areas. The need to develop social entrepreneurship in agriculture is dictated by a large number of social problems. Such problems include low living standards, unemployment, and social tension. The reasons that led to the emergence of the practice of social entrepreneurship are the above factors. The research problem lays upon disclosing the importance of role of social entrepreneurship in rural development of India. The paper the tendencies of social entrepreneurship in India, to present successful examples of such business for providing recommendations how to improve situation in rural areas in terms of social entrepreneurship development. Indian government has made some steps towards development of social enterprises, social entrepreneurship, and social in- novation, but a lot remains to be improved.
OPTIMAL RECONFIGURATION OF POWER DISTRIBUTION RADIAL NETWORK USING HYBRID MET...IAEME Publication
Distribution system is a critical link between the electric power distributor and the consumers. Most of the distribution networks commonly used by the electric utility is the radial distribution network. Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.
