For Shutter Island, the age range of the audience would range from about 17/18 years to 45
years because people who are younger may not be able to follow the film and people who
are older may not like the storyline and theme of the film.
The gender of the audience viewing Shutter Island can be both male and female as the film
is for any people who like mystery and films that make you think and question what’s
happening and what will happen next. Males may be more likely to appreciate Shutter Island
more than females as they’d possibly be more drawn into the film than females.
The ethnicity of the audience is irrelevant for viewing the film as it wouldn’t impact on
whether or not you would enjoy the film or not. Certain ethnic groups may like a particular
