Good:
Good is an adjective, which means that it modifies nouns.
-What a good idea!
-You speak good English
Well:
Well is an adverb, which means that it modifies verbs, adjectives,
and other adverbs.
-You speak English well
-Did the movie do well at the box office?
4. We use well (not 'good') with past
participles (dressed/known etc.):
well-dressed well-known well-
educated well-paid
But well is also an adjective with the
meaning 'in good health':
'How are you today?' 'I'm very well,
thanks.' (not 'I'm very good')
