The Matric You Want Without The Classroom
Did you know that you can pass Matric with flying colours without setting foot in a classroom? Yes, you can. Matric College, a distant learning institution, offers Matric Courses that you can study from home. The College offers the following Matric Courses:
Adult Matric – This course gives adults who could not complete their Matric during their schooling days to do so. To qualify for this course, you must possess the following requirements:
Proof that you completed Grade 9 or Equivalent (ABET Level 4)
Be 21 or older
Be able to read, write and understand English
Be prepared to study through distance learning
Matric Upgrade – This course is for those students who would have already written Matric and want to achieve the following:
Rewrite failed subjects
Improve marks for subjects passed
Change subjects, perhaps for easier ones
Add more subjects
Matric Rewrite – A Matric Rewrite Course is also known as the Second Chance Matric Programme. It gives traditional Matric students who would have failed to meet the requirements of a Matric to do so. To qualify for Matric Rewrite, you must be 21 or older.

Where Can I Complete My Matric If I Only Have Grade 9
You can complete your Adult Matric at Matric College if you only have Grade 9. Matric College is a distance learning institute. You do not attend classes, so you can study anywhere that you feel most comfortable, be it your home, office, or any other place. Should I Change Or Add Matric Subjects?
The decision to change or add Matric subjects depends on the reasons why you would choose either of these options.
Changing your Matric subjects means that you are not satisfied with the Matric subjects you have and you would like to choose others
This can, however, only be done while you are still in High School. You will fill out a form that will be submitted to the Department of Education before your High SChool registers all matriculants for the final exam. The changing of subjects usually happens at the beginning of the year.
You can only add Matric subjects after you have already written your Matric Exam. This will enable you to broaden your options of which course to study at university or college.
Do I Get All My Matric Textbooks Once I Have Registered For The Adult Matric ...
Yes, you can get all your Matric textbooks once you have registered for the Adult Matric Course. Matric College will provide you with the latest Matric textbooks that will take you one step closer to getting the most valuable qualification in South Africa.
Can I Go To College With A Grade 8 Certificate?
You can go to college with a Grade 8 certificate by studying short courses that provide skills for work or business. While grades don't reflect intelligence, good grades are needed for college admission and employment. Most college courses can be passed with a minimum 50% average across tests, assignments and exams. Completing college increases the chances of getting a job by providing valuable skills, knowledge and qualifications sought by employers.
I Failed Matric But I Do Not Want To Rewrite: What Now?
The document discusses options for students who have failed matriculation exams in South Africa, including studying without a matric certificate, applying for a remark or recheck of exam papers, finding employment, or redoing matriculation either in high school if under age 21 or at a matric college for those 21 and older. Universities To Adjust Admission Dates: Assured By Umalusi
Are you concerned about missing the deadlines for university applications? Do not be concerned. Universities have been made aware by Umalusi that the Matric results have been delayed.
Therefore, students can be assured that all universities will adjust their admission dates accordingly.
