This document describes different types of shots used in filmmaking including extreme close-up shots that focus on character details, close-up shots that show a character's face and shoulders, medium shots that balance characters and background, long shots that provide more background but some character detail, extreme long shots that give a panoramic landscape view with barely visible characters, high angle shots from above that give a sense of being watched, and low angle shots from below that also give a sense of being watched.
