Shot list
Front cover image
Medium shot (waist up to
head). I am planning on
using this for my front
cover image as it will give
the target audience not
only a glimpse of the
background/scenery, but
the fashion and beauty
products will be seen from
the shot also. This will help
my target audience
distinguish the genre of
magazine from the model
and colour scheme of the
front cover.
This image will be taken
outside.
Contents page main image
My main image for my contents page will
be a long shot because this will give focus
on what genre my magazine is about.
Within the shot the background and
fashion is both seen. This is suitable for
my contents page as this is not the page
where my audience will be looking at the
beauty of the model, they will be focused
on the content and what can be found
within my magazine therefore I don’t
really need to give a close up shot.
This image will also be taken outdoors.
Editors image
A medium close up will
be given for the editors
image, this will not be
focused on entirely and
doesn’t matter what shot
I do for my editors image,
however I will probably
give a medium close up
so the target audience
can see the face of who
wrote the magazine.
This can be done
outdoors or indoors.
Double page spread main image
This is a mid shot done in an outside
environment. Shows natural lighting
and is what I will be using in my double
page spread. You can see the outfit,
make up and scenery behind the
model which shows all key concepts in
which I want the audience to see in my
images.
Characters in shot
Many of my images will feature two
models, myself and my main model,
this is because I feel like the target
audience have a lot more to see
when there is two models being
featured and this is something my
target audience may be able to
relate to because my target
audience as females probably have
a close friend who they’d like to
mess around and do photo-shoots
with which is why I think this can fit
well within the ideas of my target
audience. The photos will be taken
outside also with natural lighting.
Website images
Images used on my website will
feature close ups and mid shots of
the beauty and fashion in which the
model is wearing. This will help
connect to my audience and give
them something to aspire to if they
are looking for some make-up tips
or fashion style icons.
Competition
A hamper of both Mac cosmetics and Naked cosmetics
which will feature as a competition on my website and
magazine. The images have natural lighting and are taken
indoors, this will be able to be manipulated and added
onto my magazine and website so that it fits my page.
Reasoning behind shot list
• The reason for creating this PowerPoint was to
make a checklist of what photos I am going to
be taking and the shot size of each photo, this
will help me when doing my photo-shoot
because it allows me to see what photo’s I
planned to take and whether I feel like
changing them will be my decision at the time.
