This poster creates a sense of mystery by only showing the film's title, producers, main actors, and setting, without including other expected information like the director or age rating. It aims to intrigue viewers by featuring the antagonist alone and leaving the victims unknown. Showing the dark setting and the killer's chainsaw is meant to generate a feeling of danger and suspense regarding who will be targeted in the film.
Here I have discussed the age restriction our film would be given based on the BBFC post and how they decide the age limits on new film releases. Also, I have included the reasons as to why our film would fit into the age limit given.

2. The only information provided about the film is the
film title, producers name, main actors in the film
and the setting name ‘Crystal Lake’
Another information we would have expected in the
film poster is the age rating and the directors name
instead of the producers.
This poster creates a sense of enigma by only
showing the antagonist. So this therefore creates a
mystery to who the victims are in the film.
The producers are trying to create a sense of danger
and equilibrium by using the antagonist only for the
poster. Also by showing the dark setting, and the
chainsaw as a prop in the poster.
The film belongs to a horror genre.
3. Use of red on the numbers shows
significance of the date, the Red represents
blood
Big bold text to show some significance
Dark
unknown
figure – the
killer is
holding a
chainsaw and
his face is
covered with
a mask so we Setting is in the forest – isolated
do not know location where unusual things are
how he looks bound to happen with no one around
to see
4. Old English font used. Text title is in
capital letters to show some
significance.
Black text is used on a white
background for the title to stand out
clearly.
Young girl shown to be possessed.
We get the idea that she is
possessed by a devil because of the
film title.
The victim is shown for the main
character in the film instead of the
killer.
5. The information provided by the poster shows the
films name, the release date of the films and
productions details.
Another information we would have expected in the
film poster is the age rating.
This poster creates a sense of enigma by showing
the victim possessed by something. The mystery is
how she got possessed and what by.
The producers are trying to create a sense of danger
and equilibrium by showing the victim in a not so
easy state. So the victim could be dangerous to
others, and as it is possessed, we would think that
the devil is in the surrounding somewhere.
The film belongs to a horror genre.
