Highlights Of His Career
• He graduated from Indus Valley in 1996 and majored in weaving and
has worked on handloom weaving since then.
• He worked at Noorjehan Bilgrami for a year and he understood what
he has to do for Khaadi. He was mainly inspired by Indian weavers
and the number of diverse options they had and he had to bring that
to Pakistan.
• He opened an outlet at Zamzama in 1998 with financing help from his
father but they had to shut the outlet in 2 weeks because they were
out of stock then again they started their operations.

• He deals with merchandising function, production
innovation and costing.
• Khaadi is regarded as one of the best fashion brands
of Pakistan.
• He started with clothes then expanded to jewelry,
accessories and Khaadi home in a short time.
• He has outlets in USA, UK, UAE, Canada and even
rural areas of Pakistan.
• He has won awards for his work in Lux Style Award.

• He made a lifetime pledge in 2018 to give all from Khaadi’s sales on
Independence Day towards building Pakistan.
• 43% of his workforce at Khaadi is women and they provide
transport and nurseries to encourage them.
• 1,350 plus people from 18 nationalities work for Khaadi.
• He made hand-woven clothing material common in Pakistan.
• From the international outlets revenue is generated and helps
grow exports of Pakistan then production increases and
employment too which has impact on GDP and foreign exchange.
