EDUCATION
June 2013 California State Polytechnic University. Pomona, CA
Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, Emphasis in Alternative Power and Energy Systems
Minor in Energy Engineering 3.1 GPA
EXPERIENCE
Februar 2012- Wellness Oncology and Hematology, West Hills, CA
August 2014 Head of Electronic Medical Records
Managed data entry and processing of patient information into an electronic medical
databases. Maintained physical records and databases of medical information for two
practice offices (more than 1000 patients). Training and supervising other employees in like
tasks. HIPAA compliant acquisition, distribution, and disposal of sensitive information.
Headed PQRS and Meaningful Use government repayment programs’ submissions to
successful completion and repayment. Learned medical terminology, requirements of
security of sensitive medical information and distribution thereof, navigated patients through
a patient portal to personal medical records.
January 2013- Off Grid Solar Power Generation System, Pomona, CA
June 2013 Senior Design Project
Designed an off-the-grid 1.5 kW solar PV array system with about 5kWh storage capacity
for use in emergency conditions. Considerations were made for local micro-climate and
general daily and emergency use. This system allows for 3 days of emergency power usage
under extreme weather conditions. Used Cad for design drawings. Completed cost analysis
and BOM for project. Projected efficiencies based of above considerations and regular
maintenance. Learned how to present personal design of end product to
customer/consumer/end user.
January 2013- CNG Pressure Regulator, Pomona, CA
March 2013
As part of a 10 person team, designed and presented to Dexen Industries a viable, mass
producible pressure regulator for CNG converted automobiles. The design requirements
were successfully achieved by our team through careful analysis, rigorous calculations and
computer modeling. Design challenges included high pressure drop (>3500 psig), avoid the
Joules-Thompson effect, be lightweight with small overall dimensions. In addition the unit
had to be corrosion resistant for vehicular applications, rated for impact safety, evaluated for
modes of failure, and be economically viable. My contribution to the team as lead designer
2. was to come up with solutions to the design specification within the overall design. I
assisted in materials selection and BOM, and led the presentation to Dexen representatives.
June 2008- Fluor Corporation, Aliso Viejo, CA
January 2009 Heat Transfer Intern
CAD and Hand designed individual heat transfer components and assisted in design of
whole heat transfer systems including projects for BP, Conoco Phillips, Volero, etc. I
composed/wrote a manual for optimum efficiency design methods of sulfur sequestration
units in refineries. I was the only intern to participate in project meetings with clients on
price, timeline for design and manufacturing, and meeting intermediate goals. Learned how
to communicate with clients on a professional level regarding technical matters and present
to non-technical persons information embedded in technical data. Learned how to use heat
exchanger software. Learned to create design manuals for proprietary use.
April 2006- Mini Racer, Pomona, CA
May 2006
As part of a three person team, designed, built, and refined a mini car racer
(approximately 4 x 4 x 7 inches) which can transverse hills of up to three inches run in a
straight line over bumps for over 12 ft and carry a pay load of over 8 lbs on a 60 degree
incline. I was also responsible for acquiring financial sponsorship, contributed by the
Learning Resource Center of Cal Poly Pomona tutoring program.
SKILLS Bilingual: Fluency in English and Hebrew
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AND INTERESTS
Learning Resource Center, California State Polytechnic University: 4 Years
Tutoring Center Assistant, Tutor, and Assistant Computer Analyst. Oversaw 50+ tutors quarterly.
Assisted with payroll and participated in all budget meetings. Tutored students in engineering, math,
physics, and economics and participated in tutor certification program. Assisted in the composition of data
and the translation to user friendly format, worked on data bases and web design for 4 departments.
Pi Tau Sigma Mechanical Engineering Honor Society, Officer:
