to the colonists, but he began to disliked the English
and planned to murder Lane and the rest of the
Colonists, but the colonists attacked his village first
and beheaded Wingina.

went back to England for supplies

Croatoan was the friendly group of Native Americans
that lived in the area. As a reward for his help Manteo
helped the settlers and was named the Lord of Roanoke.
