To promote the view that involvement in ITE
can have a very positive impact on pupil
achievement in its widest sense

We covered a wide range of situations in which
trainees work with pupils:
• All ages
• All abilities
• Gender
• Ethnic & Religious groups
• Lessons & extra curricular activities

• Initial visits to each other’s schools to
set the context.

involved trainees working with
students in schools.

8. What we have Produced
• A DVD of all the schools combined with
guidance notes.
• An eye-catching colour booklet setting out
our aims and providing guidance on the
content and use of the DVD.

• Being of like minds, we have worked
co-operatively and constructively.
• Through commitment to ITE, we all see
the benefits of schools embracing
teacher training.
• We have shared good practice formally
& informally through visits,
discussions & viewing each other’s
DVDs.
