Students from Queens College and the University of Catalonia will participate in an intercultural exchange discussing survey results and questions about media perspectives on an issue. They have 15 minutes to discuss their group project survey answers, how their local media presents the issue, missing perspectives, its relevance to their community, and challenges around the issue. The groups will note differences in perspectives between New York and Barcelona.

1. Discuss the survey results that your group collected for your project. If this same question was asked to
students at the University of Catalonia, what would the varying answers be?
1. Discuss the following questions with everyone in this session*:
○ How does the media and different news outlets present and discuss this issue?
○ What perspectives are not covered in the media?
○ How is the topic chosen related to your community?
○ What are the main challenges in your community around this issue?
*Note any significant differences in New York and Barcelona perspectives
