Titles
1. Be clear and concise. The title should
accurately reflect the main problem of the
study and the sub-problems that will be
explored.
2. Use keywords that will be easily found by
researchers. When writing the title, consider
the keywords that researchers are likely to
use when searching for studies on your
topic.
3. Use active voice. The title should be written
in active voice, rather than passive voice.
4. Avoid jargon. The title should be written in
plain language that is understandable to a
general audience.

abbreviations. The title should be
written in full, rather than using
acronyms or abbreviations.
• Avoid superlatives. The title should
not contain superlatives, such as
"best" or "most."

cannot be supported by the findings
of the study.
