The week ahead
• To bring everybody up to speed with respect
to FTA and sentinel landscape evolution
• To foster cohesion
• To discuss about principles and approaches
of comparative research
• To ensure that all teams are equipped and
comfortable in collecting the baseline data
• To prepare for Phase 2 of FTA
The program
• We would like to start at 8:30
• Flexible coffee and tea & lunch breaks, but
need to be in line with cafeteria times
• Day divided thematically into morning and
afternoon sessions
• Sessions are mix of presentations and group
work
• Recap every morning
What should be happening
• Do not assume ask questions!
• Getting to know the work of at least 3 people
you have not met before!
• Finding your peers!
• Enjoy the wonderful campus and get to know
CATIE
• Be a member of a network
• Constructive controversy
• Inclusiveness
• Creativity-thinking outside the box
What should not happen
• Do not assume ask questions!
• Reading of emails during sessions
• No computers during sessions/no smart
phones
• Skipping sessions /being late
• For presenters please be considered of time
• No speeches be to the point
