melting yak
butter dances
around the
room as it
transforms in
to sculptures
of holy gods.
SMELL

3. HEAR
Monks muttering a
chant so mute,
You have to
strain to hear
it.

4. SEE
The glittery sight of prayer sheets
being picked up from the wind up into
the big blue sky.

5. TOUCHboxes
Smooth wood big
lined in the airpot,
inside looking like a
luxury hotel room.
The soft beds and
crinkly sheets hug
your skin as you flip
through the channels
one by one.

6. TASTE
The bitter taste of NesCafe
Coffee
as the sickly liquid pours
down my dry throat. It tasted
savory but at least it was
better than thick yak tea
that is offered.
