There are several national initiatives to create repositories of metadata standards, but reuse could be promoted at a European level by federating these semantic assets repositories. This could be done by using a common Asset Description Metadata Schema (ADMS) to describe assets in a consistent way and enable cross-querying between repositories. An initial prototype of this approach was created and next steps include refining ADMS, evaluating the prototype, and developing a portal to support pan-European federation of semantic assets.
