Self-reflection report
This semester I explained outside the college and this was the first time and it was a
wonderful l experience before I taught my lesson, I connected the coordinator of Yanbu
technical college. The number of those attending the lesson was 13 students who
majoring electric power. On Thursday 9 November 2017, I explain to the student about
transformer substation in 35 minutes. in the begging, I explained to the students how to
generate electricity and its types, after which the students were offered electric
transmission lines and what is the benefit of these electrical transmission lines. Then I
express the installation of electric transmission lines and what is the benefit of these
electrical transmission lines. Then I express the installation of the electric transformer
and show the students how does the transformer work. Then I show the students part
of transformer and cooling method of transformer and draw the substation bus-bar
systems, in the end I show the students same application and cooling method of
transformer and draw the substation bus-bar systems, in the end I show the students
same application about uses the transformer.
However, I used deferent learning materials during the lecture at the beginning I used
laptop and projector screen to show slides on the PowerPoint about the transformer
substation. Then I give the students handout also worksheet. I played also a video about
the transformer work. I wrote example on whiteboard calculate the transformer voltage
and draw the substation bus-bar systems and I followed my lesson plan step by step and
last thing I giver the students review about lesson .
At the end of the class I give the students evaluation to evaluate my performance and I
discussed with the students how to explain and what the special things in my
explanation were answers, using PowerPoint as well as video and distribution papers.
The students were interested in my presentation.
